i plan on going single turbo but i dont know whitch one to get. My goals are to have somewhere around 400hp and have full boost(156si) around 3500 rpm. It's bascially going to be a streetcar and probably see the dragstrip a couple times... i was looking at the GT3076R or GT3071R or something along those lines.. i know alot of people go with the gt35 but i think it might be a little overkill for my goals. what u guys think?

 

at 15 psi you will need the 35R. do you have a streetport? if it is stock port you will need a little more boost, AI, or a bigger turbo. the general rule is gt35r @15 psi makes right at 400 whp on a streetport engine.

 

A GT30 ain't gonna cut it (this is off the top of my head after a few drinks!).

I would try one of: GT35R, GT3574 (this is a customized turbo from A-Spec), T04S (cheap and works!)

 

If you can make it over to banzai racing's cookout in indiana on the 19th, I'm sure someone would give you a ride in their singled fd. There should be quite a few there. Look in the midwest section of the forum.

 

how about a t3/t60-1 or sc61 @ 16psi? that should get me close to 370-400 range right? my mods are:
greddy 3 row fmic
3"dp/mp/4" from mp to muffler
850cc all around
power fc
supra tt fuel pump
greddy compression elbow

 

you need a ported motor! and try to stay away form T3, they tend to raise your EGT's. and you will deffinately need bigger secondaries more like 1300s or 1600s.
