I was wondering if someone could point me towards a site the explaine all the different turbo accesories(bov, gauges, downpipes and such) and what they do. I am somewhat interested in a TII but I don't know much about turbos at all. Do you actually need all of those accesories or do they just add hp? Also about how long do turbos last before you have to replace them> most of the TII's i ahve seen have about 120-140k on them. Is that too many miles for a TII? About how long should I expect the turbo and motor to last before a rebuild/replacemnt?

Assuming that i take good care of it with regular oil changes and maintenace, and that I don't drive it too hard (maybe a bit of racing on weekends). can you make an estimation?

Good previous owner, even a pampered TII is gonna be need some work at that kinda mileage..
Bad previous owner, have money for engine and turbo over above the purchase price....
