fuel pressure gauge

have my base fuel pressure set to 48,when i rev the car it goes down to 40 ,is this normal,using an sx fuel pump and regulator with -8 inlet and -6 outlet

yes this is normal. i have my sx reg on my 2nd gen with a t04r.

An SX reg is a boost dependant regualtor. you have a vac line that runs to the manifold that allows for the reg to "self adjust" under boost/vac conditions.

when the sx reg recieves vaccumm (when you rev up)the reg reduces pressure.

when the turbo is producing boost, the reg pressure will increase as the boost pressure increases.
