Hotty this can definetly be done but what you need to understand is that you are going to be forced to get creative and make alot of your own parts. I owned a 2000 Ski-Doo Formula III 800cc, triple cylinder 2 stroke(snowmobile) that i used for Ice drag racing in the winter. It was turbocharged using a T25 from a second generation Eclipse. I had to have a guy by the name of Larry Audete (owner of The Crank Shop in Vermont) fabricate me some custom pipes and i also upgraded the rods as well. Other than that i ran stock pistons, stock ports, stock crank and stock 38mm Mikuni carbs. I also had a custom intercooler that was fabricated to replace the factory airbox and i used plastic ducting to route cold air from a vent in the hood towards the intercooler. I wish i had some pics to show you my setup but unfortunately there were lost when i moved from NY to NC.
Anyways, the sled responded very well to boost. On 9-10psi the sled went from 144 hp (rated from the factory) to 278hp at the track. At 16psi with VP C-16 fuel the sled made 343hp at the track (track dyno)
The sled went 8.22@162-163mph in the quartermile on aphalt and would run the 1/8th mile in about 4.6-4.7@131-133mph. Also, with relatively tall gearing the sled went 177mph in 2000'. I think 2 strokes respond WELL to turbocharging

it's not hard at all. I have a 89 125cc honda engine I built. It's on my gocart. You know, you see those turbo kits for gsxr's 600 and 750's for $700. I bought one of those and if you are compitant with a welding/cutting torch and turbo setup then you should have no problem hooking it up. I run 4 psi, that is fast enough. All my old *** neighbors 60+, bitch me out for doin 70 down my 1/4 mile street on a loud as hell gokart. I have got it up to 110 at the track.

AWESOME.. sorry I havent checked this thread in a while.. but this IS ****** cool. I'm now interested in doing it again. ****.. the whole Dirt bike is only worth $1200 to me, so I might as well **** around with it. I'm good at fabricating.. etc.. my only weakness is carb tuning and knowledge of how to set them up properly. Right now for example the bike is running like **** because it is flooding. I just got a new needle and seat and have cleaned the carb many times.. when i get time I will troubleshoot some more.
thx

I emailed the guy who turbo'ed that banshee, and am hoping he can give me some more info regarding the setup needed, such as if I have enough displacement *half that of the banshee* etc etc. I think it would be ******* cool!
