eventually will be looking to go single, i have been looking at both the turbos in this thread and also have looked at the T88, is the T88 basically the same as the T78 with a bit more power?? And I havant looked at the AF61R before, but looks very interesting, can i please have some more info?? how could i get hold of one seeing that im from England (UK).

Cheers

I was having the same problem gt35r....or T78. I went with the T78 its proven and I know it will meet my applications. The Gt35r is a bit smaller but quicker to spool , since I am drag racing my FD the T78 is a nice fit. If I was going to road race it or auto cross it I would go with the Gt35r.

One isnt much better then the other just diffrent applications.

The T88 is a laggy bitch that doesn't make much power for the lag that you get. Go for the T78 or GT40 or GT42R. Any of them are good.

Talking

cheers for the info, i havant heard of the Holset H1E before jsut had a search on google and found this site

http://www.proturbo.fi/turbot/turbos_en.htm

but to be honest i dont know a great deal about the different turbos.

my FD is currently near enough standard but in near future am looking to get a rebuild and street port, i want to use the car for steet and the odd drag/track day, am looking for around 500hp so wot turbo do you think would be best for me??? i know the HP also depends on other mods. The T78 and GT35R are quite common turbos over here but i dont think we have such a big range to choose from, a few i have heard mentioned in this thread i have neva heard of so more info would be greatly appreciated

thanks

Not sure where you get your information, but you may want to do some more research. Try full boost by 4500rpms.

some webpage ( frogot about who it was) who had a gt42R and said it spooled to 6000rpms. and that it was crap. they then went with a T78 and made 700hp. They used these 2 on a supra

Doesn't matter what it did on a Supra. Im telling ya what it does on my car now. Its a T6 fram turbo with 2" runners so it spools alot faster, plus its ball bearing. I get 10psi by 3800rpms and 25psi by 4800rpms!

i have my T78, and i will be getting my halfbridge back in a month, i will post numbers when i get them. I went with the t78 because i really drag race more than anything. I would love to do a few track events because im sure it is fun as hell, but i hope that with the half bridge it should cut down my lag time significantly.
