T51 Installed
I received the new T51 from " down under" last Sunday and have already installed it ....., its so beautiful !!! , I did not post before 'cause I know you guys would want to see pics that I dont have . I am presently working on getting a digital camera of my own so I can put some pics up.
This turbo is truly massive , I had to modify my oil return because it was jamming up against the compressor backplate and reposition one or my wastegates which also ended up too close to the turbine (1.22a/r , 70.8mm wheel )!!! . The compressor wheel spins surprisingly easy for its size , many have asked if it is a BB .Everything should be ready to go by Tuesday , will let you know how it performs .

Yeah I did , the discharge of that turbo is 4" external and 3" internal dia. diameter , using a v band clamp , I did not want to use hose or weld a 3" elbow on to it so I had to have a special reducer fabed . to go from 4" to 3" .given the size of the compressor housing , the 90deg. bend also had to be tight ,eventually every thing came together ok.

Kit turbos
I just got hold of a camera !! , pics will be up soon , promise !! . Now for the next dilema....... , after trying "all how " to fit that massive compressor under my hood I eventually had to rotate the housing clockwise (toward the left side of the car ) , use a 90deg bend on the discharge which is now directly in front of the thermostat housing , and direct it forward for about 4inches , put another 90deg and turn it back toward the right side of the car , after this there is about 12inches of streight pipe , two more bends then it goes into the intercooler inlet, I know this may sound a bit restrective , but it really isnt and I am also using 3" id pipe , the pics will explain more.
What I cannot decide is if I should use another TIAL BOV on the 12" streight , I know some may say that having two TIAL's is overkill , but I hate to see a streight run of uninterrupted piping , two BOV's and two WG's would definately look cool .Do you think the additional BOV would help surge control in anyway ? , You know the compressor flowing 91lbs per min and all

I dont see how 2 BOV's could hurt. Probably overkill but certainly you would have any issues with air pressurizing against the compressor wheel. I wonder if it would be any louder that way?
By the way, you arent going to be flowing an 91lbs a minute on your motor.....
