SJ?

Just kidding. I've been running Royal Purple Racing 51 (20W-50) and I've got some Racing 41 (10W-40) to try.

I firmly believe in synthetics for turbo'd cars due to the high temps in the turbo.

Was using royal purple 5W30 with no issues but due to cost I switched to Mobil1. With my new single turbo I got a bit of oil leaking into the compressor section with the M1 5W30 so I switched to M1 15W50 and no more oil leakage.

Mobil 1 5w-50 ........ the best I have EVER run !

I learnt the hard way (I thank one of my competitors for letting me refresh his engine! "only run on M1 since new" ), only wish I found this product sooner

I was shocked with the reduced wear since that day 3 years ago I never looked back

I have been looking for a good source for Mobil 1 5w50 synthetic. I do believe that Jeg's here in Columbus carries it? Where do you guys source your expensive synthetics?

straight 50wt is the best , no thinner than 20/50 if you value your front main bearing!! i use Royal Purple nitro 51 in the race car and put straight 50 wt in cutomers cars.

I have heard that if keeping the oil squirters you don't want to use synthetic because of combustion properties...anyone have any more info on this?

That is ancient news. Specifically, ash content from synthetics, which is not what is was in 93.

RedLine Synthetic 10W30, shifting to Royal Purple
