Smelling alot of gas???

hi everyone,

im a newbie, i recently purchased a stock 93 rx-7 about 3 months ago. in just 3 months of buying the car i highly modified the car. the car is running great and smooth, and ALL the work was done by me and my friend. my question is "am i suppose to smell alot of gas?" just curious..... because i dont know anyone that owns a modified rx-7. i already checked if there was gas leaks and/or exhaust leaks and i couldnt find any....the only i thing i can think of is the gas coming from the exhaust muffler, bov, and the car is untuned? let me know what you guys think...thanks

Check the injector seats on the rail, fittings, etc.

Most likely........fuel pulsation dampner.....cheap part, but major pain to fix.

Any time you smell gas, you need to take it very seriously. Several FDs have burned to the ground due to gas leaks. Usually they are caused by the fuel pulsation damper as Ernie has stated. This part is on the primary injector rail.

You really need to be absolutely 100% sure that there is no gas leaking inside the engine bay under the hood.

Once you have ruled that out, it could be coming from the fuel tank, the evaporative emissions tank (located in the rear near the diff), the fuel filler, or as you said maybe it's just running so rich that it smells. (This would have to be very rich if you're smelling raw fuel and not an "exhausty" smell).
