To premix with C16?

Is it a good idea to premix with C16 or does it have enough lubricant in it already? Also, any know how much premixing would drop the octane rating?

Yes premix, and you need a significant amount to lower the octane.

I'd like to know this as well. Possibly from someone who makes big power with c16/rotary. Aspec, you guys haven't put out any 500whp+ 7's have you? C16 seems pretty lubricated by itself and would be sufficient enough for drag racing.

I'm not going to do something that's not necessary.

No we only put out 300hp ones. We still haven't learned how to use our dyno unfortunately maybe someday though!!!!

I have been only using c16 fuel and i premix it still. As for power, i havent been on the dyno yet, but I am running around 24- 28 psi on my t78 turbo.

What's a good premix ratio for high hp rotaries that don't have a omp?

For your application 6 to 8 oz to every 5 gallons of fuel.
C-16 has a very high lead content which is very corrosive. I seen people experience stuck apex seals after using c-16 and letting the motor sit for sometime. Your spark plugs also suffer a lot not to mention anything that exhaust flows through. They get completly rusted out. Just check out the turbine wheel after it sits for sometime after using c-16.
My choice for pre-mixing would be some type of castor based oil. I normaly use RC-3 racing castor from VP fuels or Klotz BeNol racing castor oil.

that just seems like alot of oil to add to gas......... you'd think that it would bring the octane down but I'll try it. I just put 15 gallons of VP C16 in my car today, so you're saying I need to add 18OZ of oil?

Thanks dude....

It depends on your application. Omp, rpm, power etc. just to name a few.
