Please help with Turbonetics selection

Im trying to piece together a turbo kit for my FC and I need some help understanding the terms associated with turbo's. My output goal for this car is 400RWHP. I would like to keep the car as streetable as possible.

Ive been considering a T04E. Im assuming I would want a tang/undivided turbine housing because of my HKS undivided manifold? If so, is .96 a good A/R for the street? I think they call it a Q trim on turbonetics website. Also, what is the difference between wet and dry bearing housings? What kind of Compressor housing would I want, a 57 trim?

Thanks
Chris

Sounds like your on the right track, do a bit more research, a T04E might be a little on the small side if you want 400 on pump gas, its been done, but I would go with a T04S, or T60-1.

Sure.

This will pull all the way to redline.
If you want a little better response, drop down a turbine A/R size - 0.81?

I think they call it a Q trim on turbonetics website.
P-trim is fine.

Also, what is the difference between wet and dry bearing housings?
"Wet" bearing is coolant and oil cooled center.
"Dry" bearing is just oil cooled center.

What kind of Compressor housing would I want, a 57 trim?
Get the T04E "60 trim".

Thanks for the help guys. Another question I had was, should I use the HKS standard 40mm wastegate or the 50mm race gate?

I forgot to add that I was looking at the HKS sport turbo kit. Its been discontinued but I found one on a trashed turbo II for sale. Here are the specs...

T04E
Divided
Internal wastegate
Trim 46
A/R .84

Would this be a good turbo?

We've always run the larger WG's, and the HKS Race 50mm is one of them.  Wow, are you loaded or something?  The price difference between the two is significant!

The HKS unit is a Garrett T04E "57".
It is efficient up to 300hp.

So....I dont want to boost higher then 12-15. Realistically, I would like to run 7-8 psi around town and turn it up as desired. I see that HKS sells a 5.7, 9.7, 10, 14.2, and a 20 psi spring. Which one should I get?

5.7psi spring would be your choice.
If you ran anything higher, you won't be able to (theoretically) run any lower than the spring rated pressure.
