ok guys--help a turbo noob out please

Alright....here's the deal. I want to take a 13B-RE that I already have access to, and drop it into an FC. I know about the issues in doing so, and the costs, so please--DO NOT sound off about other swaps, or pros/cons, etc etc....I have VERY cheap access to a good RE, so I am going to take it.

Now, the one thing is that I dont want to keep the stock twins. My goals are to make this car streetable first, and raceable second. I am looking to push mid 300's to the wheels with a single setup. motor is stock right now, and I have never had to deal with a single setup before--actually, my experience is more in superchargers anyways. I need to know what would make this happen, as far as what mods to the engine and what a good turbo choice would be. I know very little when it comes to the different turbo sizes, so help me understand what is what before I spend a dime on anything. I fully intend for the project to be done right, and I have the time, tools, and space to keep the car for an extended time. I just need to know what would be a good setup. I want to run 300-350 at the wheels, on pump gas if possible, and have it linear--that is key. I am so used to superchargers that I dont want to have to wait til 3000 to have it kicking in or anything. I just want to make sure that this is done right, and not some hack job thrown together that will not hold up. ANY thoughts are appreciated. So fire away, guys....

ok, one thing here. I just found out that I have a chance to pick up a Garret T04B....specs are:

A/R .60 COMPRESSOR WHEEL
A/R 1.00 TURBINE HOUSING

Brand new, and a friend of mine will let me take it for a hundred.....He tells me that this turbo will be good for at least 400 horses, but again, I do not know much about turbo setups and such. I fully expect that fuel mods will be needed for anything I use, and thats not a problem. Would this turbo get me where I want to be?
