New bridged motor running into boost issues
I have a T2 motor with a Bridgeport with a decent bridge on it and a street port(halfbridge). The motor was rebuilt and is running 9.4 compression rotors on it.
I have been driving a N/A S5 around while the car was in the garage and being built. The t2 motor doesnt even have 1k miles on it yet.
My issues is the S5 is ALOT faster than the T2, even tho I have only gotten the t2 to like 4krpm in each gear, the car seems very slow and if i'm in 4th gear and hold down the gas fully the rpms wont even raise past 4krpm. I hear the turbo and the boost really loud, but it feels like im not getting the boost at all. Mind you the car has everything stock on the t2 but, downpipe, exhaust, bridge, rebuilt, and ignition. Running stock turbo, stock ecu, and stock injectors right now, but I am getting them soon.
I am thinking its the stock bov being to small and letting all the air go out, because you can hear the turbo loud at just 3.5krpm but the car doesn't feel the boost at all.
any ideas?

The bridge port done is only this small..
and the street port is this small..
I am seriously thinking of putting my emissions on since I HATE having to deal with the idling falling into below 1k when the motor is cold.

Best solution for the original poster has been mentioned already: just full bridge the engine.
There's a lot of problems with this build though. The HT-18 is way too small for any kind of bridge, the stock ECU won't handle any kind of bridge, etc. I can't say specifically what is causing the original poster's boost problem but I suspect it's just because the car is stupid lean.
