My BW S475 project... lots of pics.
been waiting for some parts so got a few days off..
Yesterday i received a 4" v-band clamp so i cut of the 3" flange and did some welding.

tomorrow i'll get my muffler and the pipe so by the end of the weekend im hopefully done!

I tig on my own and I happen to really like the defined bead your welds have.
Thanks in advance.

What i normally use is .035 308 wire for stainless and 309 for stainless to steel..
Gas: Argon, i normally set the regulator at 13~15.
I also use a gas lens and usually around 35~85 amps...( depending on thickness)

I hope you don't mind me asking what filler rod you are using for welding the stainless(diam and material), what gas (Argon, Argon/Carbondioxide etc) and at what amps you are welding.

im using a 1,6mm 316L rod and pure argon, 2,4mm red tungsten. amps i don't know since im using the pedal for heat control..
got some work done today...
i finally got my 4" pipes! i decided to try with a single muffler first..

im to cheap to buy real bends...

took a while to tig everything!

then i fired her up and i must say that im relieved that the sound wasn't as bad as i thought it would!

im having the same problem here Gus. Think ours might even be E70. So looks like ill only get to dyno on low boost until summer when e85 comes back unless i get my hands on something else. I only have 5 gallons of e85 left, should have saved more.
since i had a trillion 90dgr bends on my intercooler piping i felt like improving the setup.
inlet on intercooler was 2.5".

welding on 3" piping.

cutting on my newly polished parts

the rad is placed as high as possible.

i'm going to try the new pegasus clamps on this setup!
