Agreed. The boost is not the issue. I have to get my toe links and trailing arms on as well as my Kazz and an alignment done with some NEW slicks too.

Well, I don't run around town on drag radials/slicks, so It's nice be able to limit boost to keep my street wheels (18x9.5 Yoko AVS Sports) from hopping or smoking. When concrete starts to cool this time of year, they break free pretty easy. Sounds like boost control not an issue at the drag strip with slicks, but maybe could help around town with street tires. I don't know, maybe you don't like to get on it off the track, I respect that.

its a MIR event
imports vs domestics

800 cars in attendance is what i read

get some 4.33 gears when you get the kaaz diff
it'll give you a quicker ET at a cost of a few MPH

I talked with Ari about this awhile back and he said he went back to the 4.10's to get more mph. He was saying once you reach the 600's, you were better off with them. So I wasn't sure which way to go.

well I know he ran 9.58 with them
on his old spec sheet

I'll have to call Ari myself
and see if his current low 9's in on 4.10's

he might be using 4.10
but he also uses N20 to row thru the gears faster

I heard jesus is using 6 something!

why would taller gears
help in the 1/4 mile?

I always thought smaller gears would help
you accelerate faster and lower your ET's

ET win races not MPH

But now I'm confused

ok a quick good cashe of his old drag site

9.58 @ 147.6 MPH

Brakes: Bönez Brake Kit w/ X-Drilled Rotors
Rear End: Stock Mazda Assembly w/ 4.3 gear
KAAZ Mechanical L.S.D.
RP Racing Axles
RP Drag Launch Kit
Wheels and Tires: Weld Drag Racing wheels
Mickey Thompson ET Drag tires (26x10.5x15)
MT ET Street (26x10x15) for Street class
Chassis: Custom Chromoly NHRA Legal Cage, 5-point Harness, All glass, dash, gas tank, headlights, interior components retained. Fully streetable.

He ran 147 MPH with 4.33's
and his best time is 9.1@151 MPH

Not much gain in MPH vs ET's
if he switched to 4.10's

a shorter fd will only hurt him. ernie's got so much power now that he's gonna have a hard time putting it all to the ground in 1st gear. there's no need for extra torque multiplication at this point.
