it all depends, do you want a front mount or a V mount. i personally like the front mount i would suggest a large IC, something along the lines of Greddy

Front mount for a very large size intercooler
V-mount if you have retarded amounts of money to spend, but it is very efficient.
Upgrade your stock mount for simplicity. (some are pricey as well, but they are sold used all the time)

OR

Run water/meth spray injection and run on alcohol and don't use an intercooler.

if you want the easy route just do what I did...

Purchased a godspeed IC from ebay, then turned around and purchased a duct from pettit. I don't have a a GT40R but I do a GT35R and this IC cools just fine for my application. Now if you have AI the type of IC becomes less of a factor.

What are the measurements of your smic Montego? What boost and power levels are you running? I have a GT35R and I'm looking into a similar set up right now. How is the intercooler secured?

the core is 18x12. It is held mainly in place by the IC pipes and it sits on that cross member where the stock IC is placed. It is the same size as the (and sits just like them) the pettit, PFS, M2/ASP large IC's.

I'm not sure how much power I have but I did run down a 400 RWHP SRT-4 while boosting 15 psi.
