Question ID 2000's Worth It ?

Hello all , I am in the process of changing out my older BOSCH fuel injectors for the newer EV14 design.I was about to purchase a set of 4 from FIVE O ,( http://www.fiveomotorsport.com/custom-fuel-injectors/ ) when I was reminded of the Injector Dynamics injectors. After doing some searching I've realized that they are the same style injector at twice the price ! The ID's are said to be flow balanced but so are the ones from Five O , so is the price difference justified ? anyone out there using Five O injectors without a problem ?

Hi Marcel,

good to see we both continue to suffer from the same psychosis....(re-designingitus)

i made the move to EV14s after my guy had so many good things to say about the linearity V the older Bosch injectors.

i ended up dealing w John (owner) at Fuel Injector Connection. he knows the RX backwards and forwards, will provide you w the right fit, adapter pigtails and an excellent price. he is a gearhead for sure... w a 6 second chevy S10 in the family along w lots of other toys.

a good guy. pls mention my name and say hi. i suggest you give him a call and discuss your needs.

info@fuelinjectorconnection.com

your link 5 0 looks good and there certainly is nothing wrong w ID. i am not trying to steer you anywhere, just provide you w options.

well i am steering you in the EV14 direction

have a great New Year and get that monster on the road

We recommend/use/trust ID's over any other and believe the price difference is justified. Think it's ~$70 difference according to the F-O site, not quite double..

Those are not even bosch core injectors. Those are denso's that I believe have been questionably modified to increase flow...

Listen to Howard Coleman, if you are on a budget there are other options. I am 100% happy with 2000 and 1000cc injectors I bought at Fuel Injector Connection.

Lol sorry..i dont know why I typed 033. I run the bosch 044s

I would think my DC's would be lower if I weren't running E85 but, thats why I tried to go over kill on my fuel system to compensate.

Ebay is a marketplace for all companies to sell their products, not everything is cheap replica stuff on ebay, I hate how people give it a bad reputation. I gotta get some IDs soon, they will be worth it when needed.

Agreed....

Many quality vendors sell on ebay, as well as individuals with quality used parts. There are of course tons other crap that gets peddled there as well. The key is, if the price is noticeably less, for a new product, then be weary...

I have recently decided to keep my Bosch top feed 850/1680 with FJO driver. However, the ID's look interesting.

If you trust a company that is willing to sell hammer modified injectors, go for it. We'll pay the extra money to know we get top quality matching/data.

I've had ID1000's in my car for a few years now, they are working well for me. Part of my reason for paying a little extra was because I really enjoyed all the tech info that had been shared on the yawpower.com website over the years. I bought my set of injectors from a local vendor apexspeedtech.com , partly because they are local and partly because their forums also contain a lot of info I've found useful. I would have bought from FullFunctionEngineering if they were around back in 2008.

I'm sure other injector vendors have decent product, but if there's a reasonable price difference I'd rather support local vendors and/or people who are sharing useful info. The tech data on the injectordynamics.com page is very impressive.

^these are Bosch EV14 2000cc, they sell matched pairs with the pigtails and length adapters as needed.

I made my own research and ended up getting a pair. After that I checked the serial numbers on them and confirmed them to be stock, non modified, factory Bosch 2000cc ev14's (shorty body with adapter)

now, I also got a pair of their ev14 750cc for the primaries and by the serial numbers they are actually modified 550's (or 525, don't remember the exact number), flow matched. I called fic and they said that ev14's don't come in 725 or 750 sizes and that I won't have any problems and will be happy with them or I can call them back if I have any issues.

I looked at the orifice plates under magnification and they just enlarged the stock orifices a little. you may want to get id725 for the primaries instead as they are both static and dynamic balanced. I guess id725 are also modified 550's, can anybody confirm this?

I haven't started my build so all these injectors are still in their case
