How to test external wastegate?

Having a hard time trying to adjust my boost, it is stuck to 11 psi. Changed boost controller, without any effect. Is there an easy way to test the external wastegate?

Manual hand held vacuum/pressure pump with a gauge on it. Mightyvac comes to mind.

You need a mighty vac. You connect it to the bottom port on the gate and apply pressure with the pump, the gate should open and you will be able to tell when it does by the gauge on the mighty vac.

Hook up only the lower-side port to the boost source before the TB which already should be like that. Do not connect the top port hose which is the one used to control boost.
Boost should not go more than 1 psi above the WG spring pressure.

Most likely either your WG setup is wrong or your EBC setup is wrong.

Most of the time operator error is the problem.

I don't understand very well so I think I'll go in a local garage, I'm suppose they're able to do it.

Could you post up a diagram of how you have the vacuum hoses routed between the wastegate, boost controller, and pressure source?

Setting up the vacuum hoses to/from the wastegate isn't all that complex and your problem is probably simple to fix. It is very easy to swap one vacuum hose and completely change how the system functions.
