Anyone one using Accel wires?

Have a set of cut to length accel wires on my car now.. Recently I had a customer at work say they are junk.. I looked and realized they are made in China... Anyone know any good bad about these with crimp your own ends?? It's for smart coils and will be on a boosted app at 20 psi or so

If you're running smart coils you might as well run the best, and their not much more. MSD wires have been proven to have the least resistance of any wire. Buy the V8 universal kit as you get so much extra wire in case you need to replace/redo a wire. Only thing is that you'll need to buy two more additional 90degree MSD wire boots. All in all you're talking about a top notch set of plug wires for under $150 that make Magnecore 10mm's look like jokes. While you're at it(if you have the money) buy the specialty spark wire crimping tool from Summit Racing. Makes making custom wires a breeze.

Is there a particular MSD wire part number you recommend or does it not really matter as they're universal wires?

How in the world does the MSD wire make a Magnecore wire look like a joke? We sell and have run them both. Both are quality products. Resistance measurement isn't the only consideration for a plug wire. A solid copper core would provide low resistance but it would make a poor plug wire.

No need to buy extra boots or terminals with the MSD universal kit for the IGN-1A coils. Buy the right kit and you get everything you need, including a crimp tool. If you're only going to make a single set, there is no reason to spend money on the crimper. The crimp tool that comes with the universal sets works just fine.

PM me for details.

I had used a couple sets of them years ago without issue. But that has been around 10 years or so. So, hard telling where the quality has gone since. Go over to yellowbullet or turbobullet.com and search, if you're that concerned. The domestic guys will have more experience with something like this.
