What ecu are you using?

What smog components are you keeping?

Which boost controller are you using?

As far as the rats nest itself, you can remove the whole thing and cut back the wiring; just seal each one off.

Don't cut the wiring for the other components; the purge control valve, the air intake temp sensor, etc.

I am in the middle of the same thing. I just pulled it all out. I got the block off plates for the intake manafold and just kept the neccecities. Pretty much anything that is dedicated to the sequential functionality can be eliminated.I was linked to this website a while ago, maybe it will help you out. Its a good write up

As far as smog, im not to worried about it. I just got a free GM pump and im gonna use that.

take everything out..from what i hear it is possible to pass emissions with a GOOD cat and an airpump...get block off plates for everything...the only thing that should be under that manifild are your coils

the less stuff you have the less of more stuff braking is my saying..... as far as those screws on the nest i just used needle nose vice grips and broke them loose then they were easy to take out with a screwdriver. For the coils you could relocate them to where the cruise control (contact IMPACTWRENCH) he sells a bracket. or just leave it in stock location. I recommend relocating them so it gets them away from the heat. block off everything....thats all i have to say.
