just curious why replumbing it to use the stock IC??? that would be pretty cost effective on one end and pretty retarded on another end

Contact Tim at RPMperformance or horsepowerinabox.com about the GT35/40 FC kit.

It's just as fast getting it from him and a lot more affordable.

I think that all US GT kits go through Aspec

Actually, Tim can sell this FC kit directly to you.

A verbal agreement was made with the FD GT35/40 kit between Tim and A-Spec.

Not so in the FC kit since a month ago when I last spoke to Tim.

Actually you need to get your story straight, before you go posting on what is being agreed to.

These are available through A-spec they come with heavy gauge mild steel manifold stainless or mild steel downpipe with the dump pipe diverted if wanted, they are made to retain the airpump.
If you need to get ahold of A-spec you can contact them at 630.543.8890.

I meant as far as distribution.

Meloco,

Tim made a verbal agreement to sell the FD GT35/40 kit ONLY through A-spec tuning. It was a joint effort in developing the GT35/40 turbo between RPMperformance in Australia and A-spec in Chicago.

Tim didn't make the same verbal agreement (as far as I'm aware) with the FC kit. As I have said before, you could buy the FC GT35/40 kit straight from Tim (RPM Performance), but you can ONLY buy the FD GT35/40 kit from A-spec.

Talk to Tim (+61 8 82772266) about the kit.
It's a good price and the duty is minimal (I paid $43 for my turbo and accessories). I got my turbo and parts within a week (5 days to be exact).
Tim is the source for all the GT35/40 kits anyway.

I'm just trying to let people know their options.

Tim did make the same verbal agreement with A-spec which you are obviously not aware of, they aproached Tim about these kits being made as well, when they got alot of requests for the kit on the FC, they also asked for future kits to be emissons compliant, and have asked him to work on other things you will see in the future. He has said before on this forum, if you need to purchase these things you should speak to A-spec. Tim was not making these kits before A-spec asked on both the FC and the FD. So what if Tim makes these for A-spec. A-spec asked him to do so because they knew there were people out there interested. Then you act like it's your duty to come on here and let everybody know what agreement you think they have.If A-spec didn't ask Tim to make these kits they wouldn't be made. I think that gives them the right to sell these without having people come on here and try and shoot them down. If you are looking for these kits Tim will direct you to A-spec how do I know this. I spoke to him last night, and once again was told A-spec handles US distribution.

They may have an agreement now. If so, you can only get the kit through A-spec since Tim is a gentleman and honors his agreements.

As of a month ago, there was no agreement for the FC kits and the FC kit was made before Aspec requested it.
That's why Tim offered the FC kit to me originally until he found out I wanted the FD kit.
I wish I could find the email in my archives, but it's a moot point with a "recent agreement."

If it is the case, then you can only get it through A-spec.

The main reason for Tim using A-spec is not supply and demand since Tim has sold a good amount of these turbos to Malaysia and other continents, but it's the ease of managing the sales to 1 distributor versus tons of personal requests.

Again, I'm offering alternate solutions and NOT shooting down A-spec nor you.
As I have stated many times in the forum, A-spec offer a very good kit at a decent price. I'm just a person who doesn't want to pay the price especially since I have most of the material at hand and I can fab my own parts.

I have nothing to gain by shooting down anybody on here nor any distributor since it's a hobby.

Good luck on the turbo you purchase. The GT35/40 turbo is a very nice turbo. I'm pretty happy with it so far. I'll post dyno data and more pics later.

The FC kit was not made before A-spec requested it, once again you only know half of the story, A-spec approached Tim about kits for the FD. When the orders were starting to come in and alot of interest was being brought up about one for the FC, Tim was then approached about that as well, and was told emission compliant would be the better way to go on future kits, A-spec hadn't come to a agreement a month ago on the FC kit because at that time there still wasn't a FC kit, believe me it wasn't a recent agreement either, it was a when your ready on your end, will work out the details kind of thing. Tim asked A-spec not to sell (push) these kits until he was ready for sure about making and meeting the demand, he didn't want to fall behind or get swamped the way he did with th FD kits, and he didn't start working on the FC until way after it was first brought up, they are also working on other things now, for future products for both the FC and FD, as well as stuff for the WRX , S2000 and 240SX. Yes Tim sells these overseas, that still doesn't mean they weren't products A-spec asked to be made for them because they knew the market was there, and certainly doesn't mean Tim uses A-spec as you suggest, it is a mutual agreement, in return for help with the fabricating, it becomes his product just the same. but because A-spec is here, they will not compete with each other, and Malaysia and other's wouldn't have these if he wasn't approached by A-spec to begin with.Same goes with the next round of products they are discussing.I have all the emails of what has been discussed at what times and when. I would never post them on here either, it's personal between Tim and I and I wouldn't do that to Tim, as you said he is a good man. I hope you enjoy your GT as well.

Thanks,Sean
