RPM GT3540 Single installed

Finally I got the RPM GT3540 kit installed. I am currently running about 7lbs of boost, as I am breaking my motor in [had about 3k on it before single was installed]. I will install Greddy Profec B as soon as it arrives and will head down to KDR for some dyno tuning.

My first impressions of the kit are quiet impressive. With my stock port motor, this thing sees 7lbs at about 2200-2500rpms at WOT 4th gear. Don't quote me on that since its so hard to keep an eye on the boost guage and tach at the same time. Dyno data will point more specific details as soon as I get the car to KDR.

My current setup is as follows:
Stock port Jspec shortblock
RPM gt3540 dual bb single
550cc primaries, 1600cc secondaries
K2RD secondary rail
SX RRFPR
Greddy 2 row FMIC
Pettit resonated midpipe
HKS carbon Ti catback
Unorthodox underdrive pullies
Walbro GSS351 intank
Apexi PFC
Tial BOV
Greddy Profec B [waiting for arrival]

I may have missed some details, but you guys have the idea.

How do you restrict the amount of oil fed to the turbo? Since it's bb, it needs a lot less oil than stock.

It's one of the Forum Sponsors.

RPM Performance (in Australia)

EDIT:

I just saw their website again. Did they raise their prices for the Haltech E6K?

Some of my TurboFB (1st Gen) friends got quotes of $880ish for the same crap that they are now Selling for $1190.

Is it 1190 in AUSTRALIAN Dollars? Or did they just decide to have the same prices we could get in the US?

I guess they couldn't keep their prices so damn low. They couldn't have been making much money selling them so cheaply...

3k miles and you are still on the break-in schedule?

C'mon, we want to and MUST see a dyno sheet

BTW, Tim just finished seven GT3540 kits for A-Spec tuning, so there should be a few more of these kits running in the streets soon.

Just got positive confirmation that I'm one of the seven waiting in customs. I'm just going to have to wait for the dp to get ceramic coated though. No biggie since it will take about 2 weeks for my motor to be ready. I hope that this thing is every bit as good as the hype is getting. Any body with any clue on what this thing can do at about 20# with an agressive street port and all the bolt on? Take a loot at my sig and tell me what ballpark I should be looking at.

Tim quoted me $1190 for the fully terminated harness, with sensors, connectors, yadda yadda.

He has quoted me $780 USD for simply the flying loom, EMS, manual/software... You supply the rest.

The oil restriction is in the CHRA.
I talked with Tim on restricting oil if you're using anything larger than -6 oil lines.

I just got my GT35/40 today. It's pretty sweet!
You can blow on the compressor wheel and it'll spin pretty freely.
The polishing is nice, but there are a few spots that weren't done (I'm not complaining!).

I'm still waiting on my heatshield and adapter flange since I'm using it on my old single set-up.

I'm anxious to hear the results from 40oz's dyno.
It'll be around a week before I'm running mine (more parts, welding downpipe, etc).

Nice install btw!

J
