Who here thinks that you can't blow and engine at 4000 rpm being lean?

You can also blow being too rich due to carbon burn off.

if you want peace of mind ("ideal" AFR's aside), just put it in the low 11's AFR as soon as it gets over about 5-6psi.

rule #1 of tuning non race engines: don't blow your **** up.

It's fine.

You have to look at the load.

Seems to be pretty steady but it leans out at the end a bit.

It's a pretty decent tune.

4k he's not lean. The green is the boost.

no scale on afr but id' say he's mid 11's at 3.5k.

A lot do tune their engine like myself.

Do we do it professionally? No.

But that doesn't mean we don't have a clue what we are doing.

The problem like he said is you have to figure out what is fact or fiction on the internet.

call me crazy, but that power band sucks for a large streetport. i aggree with others, you are pretty lean and should address that soon.

as far as it not revving? where did that come from, a stock motor will rev to or past 9k with no problem. now how long it will last is another question. also, its power will drop off past about 7300ish. your car should still be steady climbing at the rpm that you are stopping.

There are plenty of folks on here that tune engines "for a living". And I know of a few very good ones that are posting in this thread...... But just because you "tune" your own car or a few others doesn't mean ****. Most anyone can "raise" a child, but just look at how many dumb *** retards are walking around and you'll see the success rate "raising" a child.

There is SOOO many things that one needs to take into account when tuning an engine, and sadly only about 20% of engine tuners out there REALLY know what they're doing.

I don't think chuck was saying that the 4K was this actual graph. He was saying 4K as an example.
