Full set-up

Okay, so I am new to rotary scene if anyone hasnt been able to tell yet. Anyways, I need to know everything I need to get in order to go to single turbo in my car.

I know that I am going to get HKS to4s or A'PEXi isamu rx6. What I am lost on is what other things I need besides the full turbo kit. I have had people tell me I will spend at least 10K others tell me only 4-5K. Big difference. If someone could list all the things I would need it would be helpful. I mean everything. I have done 240's, 300's, S2000, etc. etc., but like I said new to rotarys and do not want to screw anything up. Where I am living at there is not really anyone who knows much about the rotary engine. Thanks in advance.

Also maybe some good websites to order from. Japan only nothing american. Not against just prefer.

its no different than building any other car

brakes
suspension
rubber
turbo (mani, WG, plumbing)
exhaust (whatever your flavor)
Cooling (IC, oil, water)
Ignition
Fuel (rails, pump, inj)
AI (water/meth injection for safety)
ECU

remove things not needed, block off nipples/holes

all this can be added to a bone stock motor and you'll still have performance you can't buy new under 60k-70k.

First off dont waste the money on the HKS or Apexi kit. Nothing really wrong with them other than they are so overpriced and you can go with something a lot cheaper that will give you similar spool with more HP.

Typical single setup would be:
Turbo kit $2700
Intercooler upgrade $500
Fuel system upgrade $580
Power FC $950
Twin Power Ignition $380
Full exhaust system $600
Clutch $500
Dyno Tune $300

That would be a base single turbo upgrade that would put you around 400+ RWHP on pump gas, depending on your motor.

ya, Jason is right. HKS is really overpriced. But I think that the HKS T04E and the Isamu are totally worth it and very well put together kits. Also very durable. If I got another FD I would immediately slap one of these two turbo's on and stay at 10psi to have one kick *** FD.

I picked up a GT4088 kit from Jason (RX7Store) and I couldn't be happier. You really don't need to buy the HKS or APEXi stuff to make 400+whp. What I spent on my whole turbo kit, is only a little bit more than you will spend on one of those turbos alone.

I think you misunderstood what he said... He meant that with the general mods he listed you will have a hard time finding similar power/performance in a different car which would sell for under 60-70k... not that you would end up spending 60-70k on the RX-7 =P
