Fuel Rail Setups

I cant seem to find any info on fuel rail setups. I would love to know what alot of you guys are doing for a setup with how much rwhp you have.

I am doing a T-60 single conversion into my car and have upgraded my secondary fuel rail to a KG Parts rail with 1600's and then I will run my 850's in the primary location. My question is if I should be running my fuel system in series(like stock) using some of the stock lines or run them parallel like Damian has in his setup. I have not purchased the complete kit like Damian but I could set it up the same. This thread will show you what I mean..

https://www.rx7club.com/showthread.p...el+system+pics

Will the stock series setup flow enough to handle 850's and 1600's and not be at capacity? Any help would be appreciated.

Im going with a parralel system in my FC also. 1680cc secondaries, 1000cc primaries, SX FPR. All AN fittings and steel braided lines. I have everything I need. Just need to get my lazy *** in the garage and install it all

Oh, I do need the aeromotive fuel filter though. Which one do you guys use? I seen they had one with a 10micron filter element, a 40micron filter element, and a 100 micron filter element. Which one do I get??

Thanks guys for your input. My plan is to hopefully hit 400rwhp with my setup and according to Jason the setup I am building myself should be sufficient. I am somewhat concerned about the banjo fitting as it looks quite small but if 500hp cars can handle it then I should be ok...

If you run in series I'd run the secondaries first. I believe many high HP rotaries run this way. The Banjo is a substantial restriction, best to tap the rail, and add an AN fitting with -6 line. Here's my system before the rails, -10 to -8, and then a - return. This supports over 500rwhp in a road race car. Injectors are 680/1600. PM me w/ questions if any.

Running in parallel give the system less chance of fuel starvation to one particular injector. I.E the last injector (farthest from feed) under extreme conditions is the first one to get less fuel. In a parallel system both rails receive a feed so theres isn’t a long run from feed to return, thus lessening your chance for starvation.

Agree with above, if your going to still run a series system feed the secondary’s first as they consume the most fuel.

But if your only shooting for 400, series will keep the clutter down, but my rule of thumb is always build it for 125% of goal, so you want a 500hp fuel system. Fuel is the one place not to cut any corners b/c one little problem will quickly turn into a big problem

I’m running KG rails pri and sec, 850/1600, with custom plumbing, I run 1 pump for each rail and they join back together @ the FPR. A bit over kill but I was shooting for 500rwhp, so I wanted to make a fuel system for 625hp plus ill never need to upgrade it. Build it right one time and be done with it.

Also make sure you have the pump/ and filter to support your flow requirements. Max Cooper has a nice calculator on his page

Not trying to thread jack or anything, but I have a few questions about fuel rails and such. My friend wants to build his S5 N/A to run a Gt35R kit. I am currently trying to find and price parts for him and I am having trouble finding aftermarket fuel parts for the FC.

With my limited knowledge of the FD I am not sure if it is possible to use aftermarket FD rails for an FC. Thanks for any help, and if anyone has a source for FC fuel parts I would be grateful.

KGparts.com has aftermarket FC fuel rails. I just bought mine from them last week. Theyre really helpful also.

I have used max coopers website lots to help figure out what i need ... great help there. If I did still run it in series but changed the banjo fitting to AN -6 into the rail, and run the secondaries first for fuel supply, then would it be ok? I guess that means the fpd gets kicked too then....I was going to get my lines tomorrow

Thanks for the input
