FD t-78 install???

My friend has just purchased the Greddy t-78 kit. I was wondering if anyone has some good pictures and/or in depth directions to help him complete the process himself because he is completely lost....

If he can't figure it out, maybe he shouldn't be installing it to begin with?

Well, that's pretty much the norm with any Japanese product. You could try contacting GReddy to see if they have engrish instructions. Good luck with that. It's pretty straight forward, you remove the twins and associated plumbing and in it's place you but the manifold, turbo and downpipe. Since it's a kit of the ever so lovely T-78 variety you or your friend is going to have to dent the downpipe or shave the lower intake manifold to make it fit. (What year is the car?) You are going to need block off plates, new oil lines connecting to the turbo just to name a few. T-78 isn't water cooled so you probably have something in the kit to take care of that to. Once you get it in the car, you're going to have to adjust the compressor housing by loosening the bolts on the back of the housing, in order to line it up with the IC piping.

man you know a lot about the t78 kit for someone who has a to4s turbo (right?).

All this info is correct. The install is pretty straight forward for the most part. I had someone else do it, do to it being my first experience with turbo conversions. But looking back, i prolly could have done it myself.

BTW dave, how is your car coming along? Hopefully it will be done by next spring, we need to schedule a CNY cruise or something.

If you give us a breakdown of what other components he needs or is installing it may be helpful. Does he already have fuel upgrades? GReddy FMIC? Blow of valve?

Close, GT35R. Unfortunately the car has been on the back burner for much of the past few months. I've been going through career and school changes.
There's another guy in town that has a CYM, I've been meaning to meet up with him, we should plan something for the spring. We also have a white FD in town but it's an automatic and it belongs to a cop!
I need to help Hondakiller get his FC back in to shape sometime as well.

Also, how far along is your friend? Does he still have the stock twins on? Did you look at the single turbo vacuum diagram?
