do you like your 35/40 set-up

Thinking about going with a T04s but have heard good things about the 35/40. Anyone running a 35/40 now and how do you like it? Spool time, driveability on the street, etc...

Thanks, Donny

I'm running the 35/40. Absolutely love it. Yeah it's not a drag monster but it's still got plenty of power/kick if you drive the car on the street a fair amount

I have a GT3540. The turbo is awesome. Anyone nervous about getting a laggy turbo get this one. Makes great power and still spools close to stock twins. Plus A-spec tuning is a reputable place to buy parts. I get good support from Sean and Steve.

I have no experience with the turbo, I was told by a previous owner of the 35/40 that the top end dies off.
Sounds like it would be fun for daily driving though.

My set up really doesnt die off up top. I actually dont realize im am pushing the car until i look at the Peak hold on the PFC commander and I see ive been hitting 8300 rpms. I was used to shifting by feel on the stock twins when the power would drop off. Also if you can read compressor maps. The GT35R is right in the rotary sweet spot all the way to redline. Of course turbos will make more power but i made 404 at the wheels and i have a very broad power band on a stock port motor. My large street port def doesnt drop off on the top end. I suggest you drive one thats tuned. Thats the only way to make a fair assessment. but do look at the map. Its even nicer then the T-66, And the T-66 map looks almost as good for the rotary.

So what you're saying is for a 13bt on an FC that only runs 7000 RPM it's perfect?

Ok, it's not some weeks...but some months...as should have been expected...I have never driven any other car as powerful as mine so I have nothing to compare to other than my 317rwhp twin setup...Well, Freaking thing pulls strong to redline..I think the the dying off at top end is a myth...Maybe I need to drive a 600+rwhp car to tell you....Currently running 10psi around town and then 15 on high..Haven't run 15 since tuning but at 10 it's pretty nice to stomp on most anything around town.
