I'm new to the single turbo scene and I'm unsure of what all the specs mean. Could somebody explain to me the significants of these number and what that means to me? Also how does the GT 35/40 compare the other turbos out there. For example the T04s or the 60-1?

1.06a/r Turbine Housing, single entry, 4-bolt outlet
84 Trim Turbine Wheel, 2.45/2.68
Water cooled GT centre housing
0.70a/r Compressor Housing, 4' Inlet, 2.5' Outlet
56 Trim Compressor Wheel, 60lbs/min flow, 2.41/3.22

 

i can anwser a few of these if i am thinking correctly. OK the 1.06 a/r is the size of the turbo where the exhaust goes out. A/R Stands for Areas radias. Water cooled mean the turbo uses water to cool the the moving parts.I really not 100% sure on the other ones. Hope that helps. do a search under gt 3540 or A-spec and you should find the infos you need. Sean, at A-spec tunning explained the specs of that turbo in details.
