You are a twit. Think of all the v8's out there, all of them. Now do you honestly believe more than 1 in a 1000 will have a better power-to-weight ratio than a 685 rwhp FD?

Stick to what you know kumguzzler.

Edit: btw, your username and reference to "nutrider" imply an infatuation with "pinknuggets."

There is more to rx-7s than just a rotary. if the engine was the only thing that made that car special then... you guys are right and srt-4s aren't neons........different engine.

We (V8/RX7) put a different engine in the same chassy because we think the characteristics of that engine are better suited to our driving habits.

I will commend this car on pulling like a mother at highway speeds, but its only got 200hp at 5000 rpm. You have to really drive the **** outta that engine to feel its potential. I bet its awesome fun to feel it pull harder and harder and harder as you go from 5600-8500 but at the same time you would need to drop 2 gears to pick up speed. instead of just leaning into the gas pedal. I had to say something. I'm not 100% close minded on rotary's, some are great. I'm just speaking from my own stand point of how I feel an engine should perform.

Nope. I ran a 10.78 on pump gas, cam only and a 100shot in my FD. He has a fast car no one denies it.

His car runs on race gas (C16)....now mine runs on race gas (C12).....I bet I can beat him all motor...if not I will spray a small shot. Its just a POS LS1.

If he wants to get in line behind ErnieT, I will be more than happy to see who runs circles around who.........

When he pulls a Brian Hinson and makes a 8.8 second 1/4 pass on pump gas, you let me know... And crispeed already said this was not his car bud.

Funny you should say that, I seem to remember a guy doing a 26B 4 rotor in a Vette...I'll see If i cant find it.

2. Although in the past I had Mazsport do all my work, I am doing considerably more work on the car with the LS1 swap. I have a local friend who has done 2 other swaps, so working on mine will be the third. We are working on it every Friday and some weeknights when time permits.
I was also being defensive earlier, not due to the V8 swap your doing (I do like nice Ls-1 swaps) but the fact that you came out speaking of other cars that would beat this one, like a typical internet guru. PDViper77 said it best. I was pissed you subscribed to this thread to seemingly just talk crap about it. I see now that wasnt your full intentions, and once you talked crap to me, without even a running car, that was quite an ******* thing to do. So it went from there. Good luck with the LS-1!

Also, are you really planning on using nos? I need to know, so I can throw in a bottle in sept, otherwise we can run all- rotor vs. all- motor.

I'll probably do a 100 shot, but not until I see how traction limited the car is on the motor. Either way, we'll get legit. runs in. I'll even disconnect the bottle if you'd like.

why don't you quit being an irrelevant-number racer like all the honda guys with their HP/L and HP/weight, and stfu so the rest of the internet doesn't have to see how re-re you can be.

you fit my nutrider statement like a glove.

On a side note, on this forum, do you pronounce your name "Chris-speed" or "Cry-speed"?

He's talking about curb weight to rwhp ratio, which is pretty relevant to the subject.

Yep, so long as we're looking at average RWHP for the powerband, it is one of the BEST indicators for a street race where traction is generally not a problem (meaning roll not dig). Dig (track or otherwise) obviously introduces a lot more variables.

I agree. The powerband is the relevant area, and once this rotary-powered FD gets on full boil, the results are impressive--it's making over ~500 rwhp from 6k rpm to 9k rpm. That's a pretty damn good average in my book for a car peaking at 685 .

As an aside, lots of ugliness and dick-swinging in this thread. Seems like a lot of the kiddies have popped out of the woodwork

I saw your post on 305sr

You made good numbers on the dyno, but to be honest it meens nothing to me till you win some races. I would imagine that car is next to impossible to launch. Mad props to the driver if he can launch it.

There is a guy locally who has a FB with a 5.0 in it and its a pretty damn quick car, (the guys on 305sr mentioned him) I would love to see you guys run from a dig.

It deff would be the ultimate v8 rx7 vs rotary RX7 showdown
