Damn, cant believe this thread went the way it did. lol

Anyway, FL has TONS of FAST *** street cars. To say that this FD is untouchable is ignorant. To say its slow or not respectably fast is ignorant. (not talking to you piano, just saying in general)

With every fast car, theres always someone faster. But his license plate does draw conflict. Thats like saying every V8 on the road, he will destroy. That may apply to alot of V8s, prob stock or even modded but there are still alot of cars out there that will hand him his ***. So IMO, the license plate is unnecessary. But i see people do it for show, like my plate, which says 1qwik7, its quick, not fast so therefore its reasonable

And isnt hogans supra like 800rwhp?? IMHO it will be a good race between it and that FD. Supras have better top end. From the crispeed video, his speedo doesnt move as fast as some 700+rwhp supras. And i been in a couple of those supras, i know how fast their speedo needle turns clockwise.

any person who resorts to a v8 because they weren't able to maintain and keep a rotary engine running is a freakin dumb sissy. (no offense)

No one can deny the cons of a rotary. It also has it's pros and charm in the rx7 but swapping motors doesn't make someone a sissy.

Could we stop with the arguing about what would beat what... geeez..

Yes please! I really can't stand it when the v8 guys start bitching about something they don't like and then turn around and say it's the rotary guys fault. Piano I used to have all the respect in the world for you because you where just a cool guy but now your attitude has changed since you decided to do the swap and it really sucks. Anyways when are more vids of this car killing v8's going to be available?

Dude, are you kidding me? Try to look at my posts in this thread and the posts of others without a substantial bias and see if you still feel the same way.

And I have built and tuned both and I know what the differences are also. But I know most of you have not been in a 700 to 800 hp rx-7.
Plus if you go by the speedo in the video I guess you can tell what level of power the rx-7 was at too. Trust me I'm too smart and been in this game too long to give it all away.
Now if we were arguing over an actual race then that's something else.

Wow

I am going to have to breakup with you piano...you are different guy these days and I just dont think we can talk on this MB anymore...

All joking aside...Some people prefer LS1 and some 13B...Personally I think the ls1 is the more reliable engine when producing more hp.

And I also know of a few cars here in Tampa that are a lot faster....

NAh!
You have to excuse him. He's exhibiting early symptoms of going over to the dark side. His old self being is moving into it's new host so this kind of behavior is going to have to be tolerated until the transformation has completly taken place.
The medical term for it I believe is FD-REW>FD-LS1.
The chemical breakdown would be FD---Factory Defect/ REW-- Rotary Engine Waste>FD-****** Deformed/lLS1-Lead Sled #1

And I hope you guys dont take this seriously!

Out of curiousity .... why do the V8 converts stay on this forum ? , like it or not you're not one of us anymore , what can you possibly gain from this forum now ?, Seems like you have a new found desire to critcise the very thing the fell in love with and try to convince or the rest of us how good their V8's are , you've made your choice , please let us live with and continue to enjoy ours , you dont find any rotor head on any piston forum ranting and raving about how good our motors .

I think the v8 guys would stay out of here if there weren't all of these nutriders who think a 600hp rotary is unbeatable by "99.9%" of v8's..

we might not share the same motor, but we do share the same body, suspension, and wheels. or is that an incorrect statement?

an engine does not decide what the car is and is not - on my registration it still says "93 MAZDA RX7."

The soul of a Rotary IS the motor , why do you think other rotary powered vehicle owners are members here too ?, and if they still share the rest of the car with some of us , thats fine too , but go to the other parts of the forum where there are discussions on such things , dont come to the engine , turbo and performance sections to make negative comments and minimise the accomplishments oh the remaining TRUE members , go to any LS1 or what other V8 forum that might suit u and express your self there , since you now have more in common there.

You couldn't of said it any better. Why bother staying on this forum if all your going to do is come here and criticize on everything and everyone that accomplishes something which doesn't deal with the ls1 engine...

As for Rotorownsyou, it is evident that you are the "idiot" because your name doesn't match whats under your hood. Doesn't take a genius to figure that one out... Stop hating

Crispeed, its unfortunate that people will continue to come on here and hate on something that probably took a lot of time and effort to complete... Well, much more than bolting some up motor mounts from a kit and sticking a v8 dime a dozen engine inside and calling it a day.

because we have an LS1/V8, we can not ask questions about the rotary to "expand our horizon." k, got it.

dont come to the engine , turbo and performance sections to make negative comments and minimise the accomplishments oh the remaining TRUE members
if you'd like to take constructive criticism and skeptism as "negative comments" go ahead. i saw nothing but praises following 90% of the "piston heads" (mainly piano).

if we all had a rotary and we were still skeptical, would it have all gone this far?

go to any LS1 or what other V8 forum that might suit u and express your self there , since you now have more in common there.
the engine is only 15-25% of the car in my eyes; not enough for me to solely stay at LS1tech.

anyway, congrats on the very good numbers. very impressive, keep up the good work crispeed!

I am not going to get ito a **** slinging contest with you , everyone on this forum knows what I'm speaking about . You LS1 converts always have an attitude , yes you might ask a question or two or even commend someone , but the other 98% of your contributions ARE negative and your criticism is less constructive and more (intentionally ?) distructive !

my comments towards you were nothing for you to say i'd want to start a "**** slinging contest." i guess you "rotor heads" take everything so personal when someone with a piston motor starts asking questions.

anyway, i'm done with this thread. good job crispeed, and good luck to V8 KILA, one fine and well built ride.

Ok, my original post was replying to your quote:

"You can get in line for your "beat down" if you wish since you're local."

I will be down in Florida is about two months so YOU can get in line for YOUR beat down. I hate people who say, "My buddy's uncle's girlfriend's dad's 900HP Viper will own you......" Don't give me that. I know there are some cars in FL who would kill my RX7 and this 685 whp RX7 as well. That is fine, I just can't understand why you get on here talking smack when your car doesn't even run yet buddy. I normally don't pay attention to everyone smack talking but what you are saying is rediculous. Again I am not against LS1 swaps in RX7s, what I am against are people talking smack about someone's car when their own car doesn't even run yet. Have a nice day!

BTW Awesome setup Crispeed!
