cost of going single

if i decide to go single besides the cost of the turbo kit would i have to get anything else or replace any existing parts. currently i have

radiator - assuming no compatibility issue
greddy smic - ???
apexi power intake - ???
efini y pipe - ???
hks downpipe - seems like most kits includes downpipe
n1 dual cb - assuming no compatibility issue
pfc - check

will i need bigger injectors/fuel pump

basically i'm trying to see how much money in addition to the turbo kit i will need and, more importantly, how much of my "old" stuff i will have to replace - it hurts to throw money away

OK, now that we've got that out of the way.
The GReedy SMIC is going to have to go, make way for a larger stock mount, front mount or horizontal mount.
You won't need the intake, down pipe or y-pipe all these parts will be eliminated along with all the other crap associated with the twins.
If you want to make any decent power you will need upgraded injectors and fuel pump.

You're catback will be fine, that doesn't have to change.
What turbo are you going with, how much power are you looking for? Do you plan to retain the airpump?
What do you use the car for?
Do you want peak power or a broad powerband?

Those are some of the questions you are going to have answer yourself.
Basically you're looking from anywhere $4,000-$10,000
Single Turbo Kit $2,500-$5,000 ($1,500-$4,000 if you buy one used or make your own "kit")
Intercooler $500-$1500 (Depending on which one you get and if you can find a nice used one)
Fuel injectors/Rail/Pump $300-$1,200
You're going to want to upgrade your primaries to 850's at the very least or upgrade your secondaries to 1300 or 1600's, have to upgrade the fuel pump and maybe the fuel rail depending on the injectors you choose. Time to get a FPR while you're at it.
Then you're going to need all the little things, block off plates, etc..
Who is going to install it? Have to pay someone to do that, then you have to pay someone to tune it so it doesn't blow up.

As you can see, it's not exactly a cheap or easy process.
Figure your needs and wants before hand and get back to us.

too lazy to search

all i want is around 300 hp to the wheels.
i'm going to have to replace the twins, and it looks like they're already like 2k. so i saw the xs and apexi kits for 3k and i figure if it would make sense to go with them instead. but 10k, i can't justify that right now. look slike i'm sticking with twins.
thanks

You can easily make over 300 rwhp with the stock twins. If you need twins, I've got a mint low mileage set for sale that I used to put out over 300 rwhp!

If all you want is 300 at the wheels why not just get bnr stage 3's seems a lot of people like them and I think they're cranking out 350 hp or more..... Just a thought.

for what he wants, i dont see any need to get anything more then bnr stage 2, you could easily get way past that power. i think just a basic rebuild on the turbos would be good for you. you should upgrade your fuel system regardless of whether you go single turbo. this way it will be all set for when you do want all the extra horsepower. i commend you for only wanting 300 to the wheels. i wish i had the will power for that, lol.

For 300 at the wheels, just stick with the stock twins. No BNRs, no 99 spec BS... just the regular stock twins will put out 300 with intake, downpipe, midpipe, catback, powerfc, fuel pump, and some 1300 cc secondaries at around 13 pounds of boost.
