I bought this turbo http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/JDM-G...QQcmdZViewItem a while back thinking it's just the same as a MP GT45 that SS Autochrome sells. Well I was reading the thread on here about MP turbos and MP Knockoff turbos. I think I have a knock off(the one in the auction above). Anyone shed any light on this turbo or heard anything about it? The compressor housing on mine doesn't say MasterPower of course, and is cast different at the part where the compressor housing bolts up, doesn't list the specs on it for a/r even on the exhaust housing but otherwise looks exactly the same. Same thing with the exhaust housining and the specs in the auction seem to be the same.

YEAH SSAC are a bunch of crooks, yeah it tells you in their Ad that you are indeed buying an SSAC turbo but shows a MP unit..they gave MP a bad rep at first because they used some MP housings. A real MP turbo would clearly have "MASTER POWER" stamped on the housing. Don't forget to check out the Tag..they dont put their tags on the front of the Comp housing either. I have the REAL MP GT45...post pix of yours.

 

Mine compressor housing looks exactly like yours except of course mine doesn't say MP and has a tag on the front. I'll post the pics later..
