Unhappy Coilpack T2 pops?????????

I have no idea whats going on but i have been having problems with my ignition (i just recently went single) i test drove it the other day and it runs fine when its could but as soon as i hit boost it starts actin funny like rough idle. After i got back from test drive the T2 coil pack busted so i thought maybe it was just bad and replaced it with a used one. Well after cranking the car again it was idling fine for a while and then all of a sudden T2 takes a crap again. Whats the deal? is it a short? BTW fuse B1 blew the first time?

What about EMS?

Your dwell times might be huge.........or there's a wiring issue.

hmmm, well I doubt Chris would make a severe error tuning.....but if everything's close to stock, why run FC coils?

And either way, how are the FC coils wired? are you running them only on the leading? If so, are you still using the FD ignitor?

lol, ahhhh I see.

Well, I'd start by checking out all the grounds and connections going to the coil packs. Chances are there's something grounding out that shouldn't be. Perhaps a bare wire....

White for the front trailing, black for the leading, blue for the rear trailing.

I'd insulate those exposed grounds, either with heat shrink or electrical tape.

Problems with the stock FD ignition are pretty rare.....

I have the updated coil harness with the ground eliminated if you decide to get a new one. Its still New from Ray at Malloy.

Mazda recalled it for a reason .

Let me know.

I went through "4" different coil packs and could not figure out why...

I brought my car to Banzai Racing and Chris tested a lot of stuff but it was when he was jacking up the drivers side front of the car that he noticed that my tire had eaten through the wire harness that is in the front drivers side wheel well.

"NOTE" those wires are shielded!! so you can't patch them!! Tried that and signal was still getting thrown off from other wires. I'd put a new one in and as soon as I turned the key it would "pop"

Had to replace the harness. Not a bad job.

And the winner is........Charlies 7.....went by maz-max to pick up new coil and asked around. I was told to check the harness. I was gonna ohm it so i pulled it of and sho nuff the wires at the harness were exposed and touching. Im almost positive thats the problem i knew it when i saw it.

Thanks for your help everyone.
