Hi Don:
I haven't dynoed the car yet because I'm waiting for my ignition amp to be replaced by AEM under warranty. I said ~400rwhp, because most of the FDs with the 35R put down about 400rwhp at 15psi (remember the days when people thought this was a 500rwhp turbo?). Right now I'm using 10+ snowmobile plugs.
I lived in Boston for about 8 years, but am currently in NJ. However, I visit Boston at least once a month. I will drop you a pm when I'm in town next.

I thought that the blowzilla was way too small to see 500rwhp. So I would say that the 620rwhp claim would have to be for a different kind of engine. Good call on what you said RacerXtreme.

Yeah... that turbo is not making the power that guy says it will on a rotary. someone on this forum has the T4/T04R "the big kahuna" that guy sells and he only dynoed at something like 496 at the wheels. The "big kahuna" flows much more cfm than the "blowzilla" is capable of so the "blowzilla" prob wont make the 500 at the wheel power. I beleive the guy with the "big kahuna" made that power at around 20 psi can't remember though I will finding out soon enough though because i have the "big kahuna" myself and will be dynoing it here shortly at KDR O.K everyone now make nice and no felching... enjoy

^^It IS a GT series compressor with the old shcool T4 hot side (turbine and turbine housing). With the new T4 turbine housing now available, the GT35R should make more power then the "blowzilla" due to the newer and more effecient turbine wheels and BB. But is it worth it due to cost? That would be individuals call, but with the GT you do get the ball bearing center.

IMO, the GT series is very well worth the money. Everyone that I know that is running them said that they will never go back to other turbos. And after getting a chance to take a ride in NXFD's car I would have to agree. The GT42R that he is running was INSANE!

thanks for the kind words guys.
ken usually deals with rotary turbo sizing and sizes all of Acosta motorsports turbos, including the T-78 for the 3-rotor rx-8 that made 1142whp...!
im sorry i wasnt clear in my explanation. the Blowzilla uses the same compressor section as the GT35R. the 61mm GT35R compressor wheel flows enough volume to support 620whp.
we have had 13b customers that have used these turbos to push well over 500whp on dynojets with heavy port work and a 1.00 a/r p-trim housing.
hope this helps. =)
any help on sizing a turbo for your application, feel free to give Ken Peak a call at the shop 1-877-23-TURBO
