ARC intercooler with TO4B turbo.

What are the thoughts on using a ARC top mount intercooler with water injection on a to4b 60-1 turbo running 15psi for time attack. Been running a greedy VSPL front mount but need the air flow and would rather not go and buy a reverse hood etc. Car will need to lap or test and tune full boost 20 mins min.
Thanks.

Run 50/50 water meth and get a good size tank. Should be fine. Is there a way for you to monitor intake temps? That really is the key. Set it up and do some test runs. Below 40 deg C and your good.

If I am going this route (IE still considering keeping the car or not) will be running a PS2000 Haltech. Will be able to monitor the temps for sure.

It will work, I've done it. We did about 15+ minutes of top speed pulls @ 23psi. Took a lot of methanol injection..

Is this on the dyno? Might be alittle different on the track. Thanks for the reply. I probable will not be running that much boost.

i was running 60-1 hybrid on an ARC tmic, 15 psi.. many track days with no problems. no AI, but probably only making 350whp max. AITs only got up to 150 F or so

That's pretty high...

Ideally you would want a maximum air temp of 60C with a recommended max of 50C if you want to make efficient power. 65C is very close to auto detonation area if it's not detuned for higher air temps. I'm sure a light mist of aux injection would be enough to lower this down to the 50's or even 40's.

Agreed. Meth is the key for a compact core under continued pulls. Even 300cc would work wonders.
