Anyone have a T70 turbo here?
I was wondering if the T70 turbo is a good streetable size turbo? It is ball bearing and I am getting a very good deal on it. Does anyone here recommend this turbo for the street?

What is the exhaust ar?I run a t70 1.00hot/qtrim non
ballbearing. Tooi much lag for me, boost drops
between shifts. I think .80 nonbb or .96,even1.00 ptrim
on bb will do fine.

What do you meam by AR. I guess you are talking about air to fuel ratio. I don't know what it is yet if thats the question. I just intsalled it and haven't had it tuned yet. I'm getting 10-15 at half throttle at 3000 rpm and I haven't reved it past 5500 rpm yet. My engine flows extremely well with the extrude honing and my throttle body upgrade. My exhaust manifold is pretty hard core too. These things might have a little to do with it.

No benefits to running a T-70 on the street unless your going to boost it high(22 psi+). I've seen a dynosheet of a T-04S with 467ps at 15 psi on a T-04S....same car beat a T-70 FD3s boosting 19 psi.

A friend of mine had a T70bb on a bridgeport with an 1.15ar and he ran 20 to 25psi. On the street that thing was unreal. I personally think that the T70bb is a good choice for the street, although I'd probably want a little larger AR than a .84 to get a little more topend power, although it would sacrifice spoolup a little.

I saw a guy run 10.7s on a stock port fc. t70comp,
t3 exhaust and .81 or .84 [forgot] tubine housing.
Anyway a t3/t4 t70. He ran 22psi and I was impressed.
Makes me wonder if the huge compreesor a/r is
necessary.
