Exclamation AEM Engine Management

Good morning guys, not sure if this is the right section but I am single turbo so I thought I would give it a shot.

I recently sent my AEM EMS in to have it updated with the latest Revision and when they sent it back the maps were cleared out of it. I talked to AEM and they said they do not back them up before the update so they do not have mine anymore... This is crap in my opinion, but I wont start a rant.

I was wondering if anyone on here had a similar setup and would be willing to send me their map to put on my EMS just as a base and I can build from there. I dont want to have to start all over at square one and pay a tuner to do it. Any help would be AWESOME! Oh and I run E85!

Setup:
Rebuilt Engine ~6k Miles Ago With Mild Street Port
Garrett Hybrid Turbo (T4 1.15ar exhaust/60ar Compressor)
V-Mount Intercooler With 3" Pipe
Tial 50mm BOV
Tial 44mm Waste Gate
Custom Exhaust Manifold
Full 3" Exhaust DP Back
850cc Primaries
1650cc Secondaries
-8 Feed Lin
-6 Return
Walbro 460LPH Pump
Aeromotive FPR @ 45psi
Under Drive Kit

That should be all you guys need. Any questions please feel free to ask!

Thank you in advance!

There is an AEM EMS subforum. I think it's unreasonable to expect a manufacturer to save your maps when you send it in for service. It's not their responsibility. It's not like bringing your cell phone to the store. Any basemap you get from anybody will not be close enough. You need to retune the car, mostly from scratch. You can either pay the piper now and get it done right, or blow the engine up and pay even more.

You can probably run the AEM base tune to get it running, just make sure your ignition timing is accurate and go through the timing procedure. Also try not to boost it, I myself was able to tune it on the street enough to hit boost but it took like 10 times as long as apposed to on the dyno.

And just as a side note, always back up your tunes! lol

Contact who ever made your previous map, they may have it saved on the computer they used.

Thanks for the input guys. I bought the car with its current tune in it. I don't think its unreasonable at all to back up a tune on a computer you are sending in for service, but that neither here nor there.

I planned on having the car tuned once I got it all back together anyway, I just wanted a "Base map" to get the car running so I could get it to the tuner... It seems like some people skipped right over that portion of my post.

Still any useful help would be appreciated!

Not a bad idea at all, the previous owner may be able to get me in contact with the person who built the prior tune.

Thanks.
