I have dyno sheets from my highflow turbine. It makes 347PS at the wheels and 362 at the flywheel. Thats if you care. My question is why would you need that much power for a road racer? Skills man Skills I think that much power could have a negative effect on your times.

I will be racing in NASA Super Unlimited. The name tells the story, several cars in the norcal region are making in excess of 650rwhp. You are correct driving ability is more important than power, BUT, all the skill in the world won't help you down the front straight when you come off a corner side by side with a 600hp 993 porsche... I could change my suspension and go with slicks, but that's not cheap either. Anyway driving skills rule, but power doesn't hurt either. Carl

88fc3s, with all due respect to your very nice car, I do not think that it would survive on the track without major modifications. Your car needs a bigger radiator, a bigger, or second oil cooler, a bigger fuel pump, race tires, bigger wheels, bigger sway bars, and a tremendous amount of tuning to be reliable and competitive. I am glad that your motor has finally been repaired, and I hope that you will take the time to tune it so that you do not break it again. It's unfortunate that you are still bitter, I bought a more complete and reliable car for a fraction of what it would have cost to complete your project. If you are making much more than 440rwhp I'm sure you wouldn't mind posting the dyno results from your tuning session at Excess. My current target is 550-600rwhp. If you are making this kind of power my hat is off to you, congrats.I hope that you can see past my careful decision not to buy your car and contribute in a positive way to this forum. Regards, Carl

Banned. I got OWNED!!!
Carl,
If you're such an avid enthusiast, how come you bought a car with such a "small" setup. Don't you know that those 89-91 plates have smaller material around the dowel pin area and the ports are WAY smaller than the 13BREW or 13BRE plates? Plus you are running an undivided manifold to an undivided To4s - dont expect a lot more hp from that old setup, I ran that setup in the '80s. As far as my car goes, I wouldnt even talk about its track performance ability unless you've driven it! Thank You, Thank You, Thank You.
