Talking 550 Rwhp Fc Look!

Hello all, I'm ready to move up. Please no "search flames", I want the most up to date current info possible. I want to put 550 to the rear wheels. I am not a clueless newbie, and my current set up is dialed. I am looking for a turbo for a road race car which sometimes sees the strip. I'm thinking T66, oil and water cooled, undivided, bb, .81ar q trim. what do you think? I hope to just "bolt on" I may need a second external pump w/surge tank, we will see. Current set up makes 440 rwhp.
here is my current set up;
1988 TII
13BREW W/88 PLATES STREETPORTED
TO4S .60 COMP./.81EXH. 3.5" VBAND
CAST UNDIVIDED MANIFOLD
E6K
720/1600 INJECTORS
BOSCH PUMP(NEED TO CHECK WHICH ONE)
-6AN FUEL LINES
HKS FMIC
HKS RACING BOV
DUAL STOCK OIL COOLERS
HUGE GRIFFIN CUSTOM RADIATOR
CUSTOM 3.5" EXHAUST

TO4R with 1.15 or 1.32 rear housing and 25 psi boost will deliver that power with no other mods !

Make sure you have enough fuel of sufficient octane to feed the air and you will make that power easily.

bosch 044 fuel pump will be fine.

car currently runs 50/50 91and 100 actane on the street. 100 octane on the track(55 gallon drum in my garage). My concern with the to4r is lag compared to a t66 Comments?

Divided even in 1.32 there is no recordable lag, even with a data logger, as soon as you open the throttle at any revs above 2k there is positive boost !

You will have full boost from 5k to 8.5k or near enough, what is bad about that? You must remember you do not get something for nothing in this world, If you want full boost by 3.5k then you will have excessive pressure ratio between exhaust and intake which cost VE% and cost you power !

Maybe he means genuine Garrett GT as opposed to ITS GT BB, or Turbonetics BB?

The Genuine Garrett unit has "GARRETT" stamped on the back plus a tag on the center housing that says garrett.

lol vosko...

I remeber a year ago when I was buying that fawking turbo. All you homos were like T78 this, T04S that....blah blah blah...look what everyone wants now! lol...

ES: I don't think there really is much of a downside. Innovative makes good turbos.

SHOW ME THE DYNO SHEET! I have yet to see a single dyno sheet for a gt35/40 over 450rwhp. If these turbos can make 550rwhp, why is no one posting their sheets? Come on vendors, I see all kinds of kits boasting 550-650rwhp, and no customers posting those numbers after the fact. What about the T66? anyone making 550 at the wheels? I'm not just looking for big numbers, I'm looking for usable power band. The car is a dedicated road race car running on race gas. I can always use that secret weapon(the shifter). Full boost by 4000, pull to say 7300. Anyone?
TIA, Carl

Funny, i have the same garrett Turbine housing stamps on my innovatice turbochargers. Most turbos use garrett parts so dont let a Turbine housing with the words garrett stamped on fool you into thinking that the turbo you have is a genuine garrett turbo. A Innovative GT70 turbo would make that power and more with decent spooling. Also a turbonetics T70 would be sweet. Precision PT70 would also be sweet. They are all basicall a garrett style turbo with the manufactures specs and wheels

Do the ITS turbos also have the badge on the center housing that says Garrett? Seems to me the CHRA is the part you would be concerned with, not the housings. Those are just hunks of metal...
