Even a good hybrid turbo would get you to those power numbers and save you some money. Check the rx7store, they sell BNR hybrids. Then all you'd need to do is get a front mount and address the fuel issue. Maybe a Walbro on top of your SAFC and 720cc secondaries, then a good tune.

IMHO, +300 "reliable" hp on the stock ecu, is asking for trouble.

Don't get me wrong, I definitely recommend and standalone for anything over 300 hp. But the cheapest way is to get a hybrid with fuel mods and tune it with an S-AFC. Honestly, if I was shooting for 300-350 rwhp, I would definitely get a Haltech E6X, it will be much safer and your car will run much better.

What is more important, is that you get the EMS _TUNED RIGHT_ with the proper equipment = wideband & dyno. That is more important than if the ECU has a gazillion bells and whistles. Find out what your local tuner works with and if they don't work with what you want, be willing to find someone that knows that system well enough to get the job done right.

The hybrid turbo bolts up to the stock location, with lines, and wastegate acuator (Internal gate, might need minor mod.) It is the easiest way to build power, and not get turbo lag.

Just an FYI....the is a contradiction between wanting 300-350 rwhp and wanting to smoke a Z06. 04s are in the high 11s at 118 mph. By smoke I assume you mean something like a couple car lengths through 2nd and 3rd. That will take circa 400rw.
