Yea if you don't have to dick around with emissions go with a stand alone--I wish I could.

I'm assuming you're in harris county...we don't have a visual inspection here. All you need to do is pass the tailpipe/dyno smog test and you're good to go. You can pass with a stand alone....

lol. I'll be going with a stand alone so I can pass emissions. lol. we have visuals, but the people wouldn't know the difference between a turbo and their ***.

300-350 hp seems pretty ambitious if not impossible on stock turbo and IC. im not a turbo guy, but i dont think ive ever seen a tii at those numbers with both stock.

You'd be lucky to push 270 on the stock turbo front mount or not

Anything above that you will need to upgrade the turbo.

t4 60-1? to4s =), if it is that turbo 300 would be really easy to hit, once supporting mods is done, cant say it any better than Fritz get a stand alone,

How about if everything but the turbo is upgraded? Ported motor, haltech, intercooler, fuel, etc. What kind of horsepower can you top out at then?

my friend did 268hp and 306 tq dynojet last yr in his 10th ae,
reman s4 motor stock ports, greddy vspl, full racing beat exhaust, safc and 15psi on the avcr, timing was retarted 4 degrees on the CAS, thats even less power but for safer boost, if he advanced or left the timing un touched on the CAS would have even more hp thats as much as it should go,

just recently dynoed my car. 344rwhp @ 13psi on a T60 on a pretty wicked port.. oh and 290 Tq.. I'm running 4x720cc injectors and a microtech lt8s.. Great torque curve and the cars just perfect for ripping up the mountains and backroads

Try a BNR stage 3 or 4 Hybrid that should get you in the 350rwhp range.

To the moron who replyed about about piston engines i got a 1956 Chevy Belair with about 1200 to the wheels 572 big block 200 shot of NOS rest is all motor theres "some modifications" =)

so is there anything cheaper i can maybe do with the stock turbo to boost more than what its capable of doing.. i have a local rotary mechanic that will do a 60-1 from garret complete install for $1350
