If it's too much oil wouldn't I notice like some smoke from the exhaust? Under load, or no load the exhaust never smokes.

not always, my friends turbo didnt blow any smoke at idle or under load until it totally blew on him at the track. but when it went bad, backing down the oil pressure didnt fix the smoking. he had to pull it apart and rebuild it. now the oil pressure probably is not the reason why the turbo is getting so hot. i say fix that problem first and worry about oil pressure after. its possible that the inner lining of the steel braided line could be melting
