I'm working on mine, trying to replace the cloth with leather...
I'm finding it a bit of a challenge:
1) Finding a staple that securely holds the leather, but not so long that it pierces the fiber board and can be felt through the leather on the visible side (I've got 1/8" staples but they tend to pull right out);
2) Getting uniform tension of the material to avoid puckering on the edges.
Any suggestions on how to proceed? (I'm assuming you did these yourself? I guess I can always go down to my auto upholstery shop...).
Your Lucky to have that!!! Sure could use that on our car now that its on RB and illuminat's. The Drivers Rear Shock was leaking so I'm waiting on RB to replace it. They didnt get back to me but ill call them tomorrow....
Washed, clay barred, slapped on Meguiars show car glaze 7 and let it sit for 12 hours. Used the same glaze to remove the dried glaze. Then finished with Meguiars NXT Tech. Brought back color and shine perfectly on the light beige SE.
I'm trying to get my oil cooler cleaned out. But I can't get the oil cooler thermostat out. Is it normal for it to be hard to take out? I thought it would just fall out once I removed the nut that holds in the oil cooler thermostat.

Anyone of you guys ever had this issue?
The only one I am familiar with is the GSL-SE oil cooler. And in that if you could get the plug out the thermostat assembly would pretty much fall out. It is under a spring preload. I reused the cooler in my GSL-EV as a cooler for the motor controller and for this I had to force the thermostat to always block the preheat bypass.
I had to repair my oil cooler and I may have uploaded a couple of photos in this thread a few years ago.
