Shine Rx7 Aero Build. Wheel fitment questions. Answers here!

Alright guys. I've been getting quite a bit of pm's about my car regarding wheel sizes and custom body work etc...

So instead of answering the questions one by one, I've decided to end all the pm's here .

My current Wheels Specs:

Work VS-XX Silver finish

Rear: 19x11 +23
Front: 19x9.5 +28 (+22 should be fine as well)

Tires:

Rear: 285/30/19
Front: 245/35/19 (It was much better when it was 255/35/19)

Paint Color:

Ferrari Gregrio Silverstone

Aero Kit:

Shine Feed Style Typ II R front bumper
Shine Feed style CF sideskirts
Shine Feed style Fenders (25mm wider than stock) ... was trimmed down as well.
Shine Feed Style hood
Shine Sanai type CF Rear diffuser

Body Work:

Custom Rear Flare done by Makito Nakai at 7 Apple.

His contact number is 310-972-8529

Email: sevenappleworks@gmail.com

Here are pictures that were taken the first day I pulled the car out of the shop.

Before/During/After phases.

These are pics I took with my camera phone, so bear with the quality .

Me at the beach.

Pics at 7 Apple. Makito is a one man show and does everything himself from step A to Z.

At the beach again with the new look.

The rear fenders, they were trimmed shine auto fenders? Or did you use a roller and just roll out the stock fenders?

These are the exact same wheels and tire sizes I have that are on this car with the FEED rear fenders, which are said to be 25mm wider than stock. Looks perfectly flush to me.

I was asked how many mm my custom flare gives. Judging from the comparison pictures... between 20-24mm. Your guess is as good as mine .

They are rolled, but a roller can only give you some much arc. Nothing was cut or trimmed. Alot of bondo shaping was done to create a meatier looking flare.

A roller will only give you this much...

My car is pretty much all stock except for the suspension so its definitely daily driveable. I usually only drive it on the weekends.

Yeah its definitely possible. Just don't go cheap on the paint job and stick with a subtle style. Don't go cheap on the wheels either

Was there a lot of paint cracking when you rolled them?

No cracking.

For me there was. Then again it was not done with a heat gun.

Thanks for the terrific pics, Ken! What is the camber, front and rear? That's a big part in the fit as well.

I think the sizes and offsets that i have work pretty good.

Regarding camber...I would have to check...but i don't think I'm running much or even need to.

I think I see a little bit of neg camber in the rear, the fronts look near 0 degrees; hard to tell from those angles though.

That rear shot looks awesome Ken! You wouldn't happen to know the offsets/width on this car, would you? They look like 18's?
