I always liked this guys FD, I hope he dosen't mind I'll take it out if he want's us to but.

 

I was hoping for the Facer N-1 2001 Version (shown on the yellow car in your post) because it fits the full undersweep + Canards. The additional effects of the front diffuser would be good for downforce.

 

I agree the full undersweep is a must

 

Either 01 or 05 it has been always biased since day one goto Japan rotary Kp forums,
For the air flow after 4 years of Re amemiya studying down force, 05 N1 facer came out with better down force and better price to replace them, for the CF canards they are exactly same but with one more bolt and holding lines so better for install, ken can make both.

If you guys are 1st and 2nd line make sure ken knows what u want, please do not hope" lol
Let's make this happend since I need fenders and side skirts, Cf fender attachment ect....

How is the 05 version generating the down force without the undersweep? I realize that that the front has been shaped slightly more aggressively to incorporate some of the features of the undersweep but it clearly sticks out less (less surface area) and doesn't have the channeling under it unless they have a special undertray with the new bumper . I'd be interested in the 05 if can show me where I can find the numbers on downforce differences between the two.

 

Ken has CF undertray that I got month ago work's awsome with my Re bumper, Re has undertray that's made for D0-022030-190 FACER N-1 - 2005 Model, but it's cost for us to buy bumper from Ken and that's the whole point we can't afford so we are asking ken to make us beautiful RE wide bodykit.

"The RE Amemiya Facer N-1 2005 Model front bumper has been improved better cooling than 2001 N facer n-1 and for brakes, intercooler and radiator as well as improve aerodynamics and more agressive appearance even without Carnards." there is no numbers to prove like you want but words from the guy who made this bumper.

I dont mind either 01 or 05 but There is gotta be member who dosen't want CF canards sticking out, RE Amemiya either 01 or 05 is awsome and both can have undersweap but 2005 has just agressive , sharp , better design and cooling effect, just my personal opinion.

If you look at the undersweep (pictured below) it has an air funnel as part of the undertray. This will add additional downforce vs. a smooth bottom undertray.


I believe the statement about the 05 being more aerodynamic than the 01 was with the 01 without the undersweep.

 

There must been some sort of reason RE upgraded the bumper and the bottom undersweep to thinner and lighter undertray ,Now it's basically 90% bumper and 10% bottom undersweep instead of big expensive CF undersweep", you can even take it out and still looks good, I still like both bumpers "Bring back the old memory of Initial D" hehe

I believe in Re-Amemiya's statement that 05 being more aerodynamic,better cooling, and more options then 01 is still with "Undersweep"

 

After doing some research on their website. It seems the 05 model has an undersweep as well.

Whoa whoa whoa what's up with the hate. All I said is the undersweep is a must. I like the 05 and 01. The 01 has the additional carbon fiber on the undertray which looks sick. The 05 has a more aggressive design which I love. All I say is I like the undersweep and now I'm taking knocks
