Can we get an approx. price before we put our name on a list?

I really wish this would happen but the community is pretty fickle about high priced parts.

Thumbs up If you have the money and want to do this kit post here.

Whats going on with this post is if he can get 15 commited buyers not people that "want to see the kit made," but have money in hand around $2500.00-$3000.00 dollars USA I believe was the price point. To import this body kit to make a mold of with shipping and the extra parts like front diffuser and side skirt lower covers ect is easily $5000-$7500.00 dollars american with shipping from a good distruibuter with insurance EMS shipping. SO IF YOU HAVE MONEY IN HAND AND WANT THIS KIT TO BE MADE ADD YOUR NAME HERE. WE CAN MAKE THIS THE OFFICAL LIST. Full kit only you cannot part this kit out piece by piece. I will list re ameya RHDjapan. Picks of the kit.
There is a crap company like chaser aero or I think it was extreme dimensions selling a copy of this kit but it wont have fitment and quality like SHINE AUTO. I can vouch for them they made me a beautiful RUN FREE copy kit for my AE86 Trueno.

If this continues for another year, I'll probably just go ahead and buy the Japanese parts and have a shop replicate it for me . I'm hoping that we can get the people necessary to have Ken do it though.

I don't think the front fenders work without the sideskirts which in turn do not *really* work without the rear fenders. If you look at pics, the "door end" of the fender only goes down half way. The side skirt comes all the way up to the wheel well and reaches up to what would be the bottom half of the fender. So, if you use the fenders only, the cars frame will be exposed in the area in front of the door where the fender does not reach all the way around to.

I'm pretty sure that it says somewhere earlier in this thread that Shine Auto is only willing to sell the complete kit and not individual pieces.

Honestly... just get the one being offered by Stone Carbon on ebay. I believe it is from the same source as JKL (from china). There seems to be "some" fitment issues, but nothing too drastic a good body shop couldn't fix. The price is is pretty good as well.

Hey Renkenkyo,

I would be pretty weary of any shop offering you this full kit in Dry Carbon. Any shop looking to produce dry carbon parts are investing significantly more in tooling costs (molds). To produce dry carbon parts, the molds must be made with very expensive materials that will withstand high heat temperatures of an oven when the dry carbon parts are left inside for curing. Otherwise, the mold will begin to warp.

The only way I see them being able to offer this from a financial point of view is to sell 10-15 FRP sets first and then make the last one in dry carbon. But after that, the mold should have warped a bit.

Hey, thanks for the reply Ken. What I meant by dry carbon is really vacuum infused wet carbon. It get's within 85% of the weight savings so I'm ok with the slight increase in weight. It's still way lighter then normal fiberglass or wet layup carbon. especially because the parts on the FD are already so light. I'm of half a mind to just order the entire kit from RE-A if nothing goes through.
