Exclamation who does your tuning in NC??

I am in North Carolina and will be needing to get my car tuned. I want to get feedbacks of who tuned your car and where they are located. I dont want to take it to just anyone. Thanks in advance for those of you who help.

The choices are pretty limited in this state. It sucks.

I haven't taken it anywhere yet. I have a Microtech with a current tune, but I'm planning on upgrading my turbo and then I will need a tuner. I have a buddy out here who fiddles with his microtech, so I'll probably just take it to him.

What engine management are you using? I know Rotorsports does haltech and some other stuff. They didn't seem like they're too familiar with Microtech's when I spoke with them on email. They also will take forever to tune your car from what I've heard.

Other than that, we're pretty much on our own except for piston tuners, but I refuse to take my car to them.

Yeah I know. Too bad I missed it. I still have to get some parts together like injectors, FPR, and get my turbo assembled. Besides I have been too busy getting married and buying a house to buy car parts.

I agree there are only couple places that have experience of tuning RX7s:
1) Rotorsport Racing http://www.rotorsportsracing.com/
2) P1 Auto http://www.p1auto.com/

If we can get 7-8 cars to commit to tune, we will be able to ask Steve Kan here.
I am also looking for a good tuner now so if we have enough interest to get Steve here, I am in.

Steve Osley in Asheville has many years of experiance building and tuning FDs and most other rotaries. (and a few other cars as well) Unfortantly, I don't have contact info for him at the moment.

Don't need to have connection....only need to have least 5 cars to commit. I would say to get least 7-8 commits before contact him since there will bond to be someone pull out at last mintues.

Here is Steve's info: http://www.rotaryx.com/stevekan/

Feel free to start a thread about this for NC region, if this materialize, I prefer to be at a central point between Raleigh and Charlotte (e.g. Greensboro or location near by) so no have to drive too far.

I will be in for sure on this deal if we can get people to start commit to this

I haven't been in the rx7 world for the past couple of years, but when I had my rx7 I always had Brian at Rotorsports Racing in Kannapolis tune my Apex'i PFC (Kannapolis is very close to you in Statesville). He tuned it twice with the stock twins, then once with the TO4R. I never had any problems with any of my tunes.
