We Got Robbed
DRAGON MOTORSPORTS got robbed for the best of show trophy at mazdapaloosa. Won by a Mazda 3. But we have to accept it, then again the show was sponsored by them.
Yellow monster got 1st place rx7 and 2nd place best of show.
Azfuk got 2nd place rx7.
All in all a very good meet though. Props to street unit and the rest of the sponsors.

TO WHOEVER DROVE THAT BLUE PROTEGE OR WHATEVER CAR THAT CAME SPEEDING DOWN OUR ROW WITH A 7 YEAR OLD BOY STANDING NEXT TO ME AND HIS MOM, AFTER THE INSULTS WERE SAID, NEXT TIME STOP AND GET OUT! I AM SURE A FEW OF US WOULD LIKE TO TALK TO YOU PERSONALLY! I put this first because this was certainly the most serious act.
FIRST, thanx to DRAGONMOTORSPORTS for bringing certainly, a WORLD CLASS CAR to the meet in St. Petersburg this weekend. That car itself, was one of the main reasons I decided to go to meet. SECOND, for anyone concerned at said meet, I WILL NOT RESPOND TO ANY REMARKS, INSULTS, ETC. if you have/had a problem, you could of stayed and spoken to me personally and not behind a computer out of context. I do not hate all the protege's, and other import owners or cars, I was angry at the "ACT" of the final judging. Also, protege, streetunit, fmc whoever posted on "this" forum from your club back in February about meet, claimed drinks, food, etc. was being provided. I talked to several 6 or protege owners who agreed, that was sadly overlooked or at least addressed to notify the MAZDA community in advance. If you claim you are having a statewide/national event and not you and your buddies weekend get together, please be realistic with your posts. THIRD, Scott/Card, thank you for bringing our caravan together from east coast to orlando to tampa then to meet. That group from cocoa or BREVARDMOTORSPORTS has some great cars and people. Fourth, I know the hard work to put meets together, you can see on threads I DO THAT ALOT, LASTLY, I REPEAT MYSELF, I WILL NOT WASTE MY TIME OR ANYONE ELSES ON THIS FORUM WITH NON-ROTARY RELATED TOPICS PERIOD EVER. The last remark from that meet I heard personally to our group, was from show winner who said something about being first place in show blah blah blah, which we all laughed at of course.

The Dragon cars were defenitely very sick. You obviously put a lot of work into them and it shows. I give you mad respect for your rides...but some of you need to let the hostility go. It was just one meet, one show, one day out of your entire lives. Don't let some $10 trophy be the source of such anger.
Rob, I want to talk with you sometime about what happenned; get your side of the story. I've got no reason to pass judgement on anyone here, because I simply don't know any of you well enough to do so. So I want to get a better idea of what went on, from your angle. You can PM me, call me sometime, or meet up in person if I'm ever in your neck of the woods if you would prefer. you guys made the ride over a lot more enjoyable, and I'd hate to see everything be screwed up forever because of a few misunderstandings that no one tried to resolve.
Thanks guys,
Scott
P.S. I still only have part of the story, so if anyone wants to give me any input on what this beef is all about, let me know. PM me or whatever works. That goes for all of you. I don't own an RX-7, 3, Protege, or any other Mazda, and as some of you who met me know, I am pretty level-headed. So my door is open to you if there's a side to this tale that I'm not aware of. All i ask is that you don't just flame me saying how much X car sucked and how many ways Y car is better. That sort of opinion is purely subjective and won't solve anything.
