Possible Ray Crowe scam email.

Just received this email from "Ray Crowe"

How Are You Doing?
Sorry for any inconvenience, I'm in a terrible situation. Am stranded here in Philippines since last night. I was beaten and robbed on my way to the hotel I stayed and my luggage is still in custody of the hotel management pending when I make payment on outstanding bills I owe. Am waiting for my colleague to send me money to get back home but he hasn't responded. please let me know if you can help and I will refund the money back to you as soon as I get back home. My return flight will be leaving soon, please let me know if I can count on you..
Thanks,
Ray.

I gave a call. So let's not all flood his office. He's out of the office until Monday. He's fine and just called me back. Relax.

Wow

Here is the reply from him or whoever.
I asked to confirm you employment before i wire funds ..

Hey Ray how are you doing? How much do you need? First I need to verify what you do for a living?

What i do for a living is selling parts and cars.

I've been finding it difficult to make overseas calls from here. It has really been embarrassing for me, all i need is $1,750 USD but i will appreciate whatsoever you can afford to wire right now, I'll refund it back to you as soon as I arrive home.You can wire it to my name from any Western Union outlet around you. There's a Western Union transfer service very close to me.

Here are the details needed to get it to me;

Name:- Ray Crowe
Address: One Rizal Park,Luzon 0913,
State= Manila
Country= Philippines
Amount :$1,750 USD

As soon as it has been done, kindly get back to me with the confirmation details. Let me know if you are heading to the Western union office now...

Let me know if you can be of help.

All hopes on you.
Best Regards
Ray.

We received the emails as well, it is coming from multiple addresses, it is not him.

Talked to him yesterday, he is not in the Philippines.

That just tells you that there are scumbags that troll these forums and try anything to make money. How else will they know that he sells parts and cars?

Do what I did, I sent them a bogus number and they will probably go to the Western Union place to find out is not legit and will have wasted their time.

I got it this morning too. But I'd already seen this thread earlier, so I just deleted it straight away.

I doubt ray would be in Manilla partying it up with coke & hookers... He's not allowed to retire. Ever. He must raise kids and teach them his ways, so they can carry on his work.
