If you can answer this you are a Rotary God

I am getting low boost in 1st gear, primary and secondary. Furthermore, I am getting really low boost at transition maybe 6.5 lbs. I am boosting 13 lbs in primary and secodnary in all other gears but 1st. but bad transition is present in all.

My understanding is that if your Turbo pre-control door is slighly ajar it will rob primary boost, however, you transition will be nice becasuse so much is being diverted. The robbing or primary makes sense, but the consequenqe is exaclty the opposite for me. I was about to tackle the adjustment verification, but then decided not to bother becasue if it were in fact the TPC I would not have the transition problems, plus for it to be only in 1st gear it would have to be very slighty open, furthermore it doesn't explain the loss of boost on 1st gear secondary and transition.

The only thign I can think of that would rob primary would be the TPC, but it doesn't make sense why I have low primary in 1st AND low transition in all gears. furthermore, I tested the responsiveness of my boost gauge to make sure it wasn't just lazy and everythign is cool there. Also the slenoid for TPC is closed by default so if the ecu (PFC) weren't controlling it properly I woudl get boost spike, not lull.

What is my problem? is there something I am missing. The only quesrtionable part of this equation is that I noticed the low boost in 1st gear primary after I replaced my TCA with a used one. Could that adjustment on it have somethign to do with my problem? I think not as it has no bearing on primary, or does it?

Thanks guys, I know the page is flooded with boost questions, but I just don't feel like persuing a dead end. I have also thought I have internal damage to the turbo.

Thanks

What all mods do you have? What about the stock pills, have you messed with them or checked to make sure they are inplace and ok? A previous owner could have intalled different pills.

The pills will definatly cause those type problems

I am using the PFC for boost, my mods are in my sig, I believe this probelm was present before any mods, just that I didn't notice it until I jumped the boost to 13 lbs, adn primary was still 9, 10 when really cold, an transition at liek 6.5.

THe only thign about the CRV, is that is opens with less vaccum than specific in the manual. However, I don;t see this as being a problem, if it required higher vacum to open, then that woudl be a probelem. I have checked for its operation, and selenoid valve, everythign is okay. I guess I coudl tee it while driving to be one hundred % it is opening to vent.

Yes the pills are in there I believe them to be stock, I thought maybe they are switched around as I didn't know there were size differences between them when I chanegd the vacuum lines. BUt if the worng one was in the TPC,(ie larger one), that woudl cause spiking, the opposite of what I have.

I have 2 spare actuators if you want to try the adjustment without messing with yours!

My guess is your engine is reving too quickly to build boost~
So a heavier flywheel could help...

Want2race,

TC or TPC actuators? yeah that woudl be cool, I really do not knwo where to go from ehre for the first time since I bought the car. I don;t think I need a heavier flywheel, as it is stock, adn others are pushing perfect boost wiht my setup.

I am going to be working on it again tonight, any help woudl be appreciated.
