We need to all get together for a state wide meet and greet. I've got the Charleston area covered. Could someone talk to the midlands and upstate crews and see what's good for everyone. Probably a Saturday. sometime in feburary We could all have a cruise , play some pool and cook out.

what we used to do is gather in the upstate and go for a drive in the mountains and then cook out at my house afterwards. Granted a whole lot of stuff has changed in the last couple of years but I am pretty sure I could get something like that aranged once more if anyone would be interested but it would have to be in april or around there just due to the simple fact of it being cold especially in the mountains.

I like your enthusiasm to get the rx7 meets going again, Chris. But there's one issue: Is everyone's rx7 or rotary powered vehicle running at the moment?

But I guess we could get together no matter if our rotary is running or not.

And btw, **** going for a mtn run when its cold.
Although it is cool to see your engine temps do down while on some roads up there.

So ill throw an idea out there.

How bout a meet in May. We could do a BBQ. If its held down in Charleston, we could do a "Bridge run."
Depending on whats happening around the city at the time, we could go hang out at an auto-x, the drag-strip, a car show.

It could be like an after-party from DGRR. lol.

There's enough time to make sure your cars running and get more interest in it. Should be nice weather too.

well I just got my much larger turbo in the mail, and once i find some spare parts I'll be running again. Might have to do some welding on my DP but whatever. But frankly I'm thinking about selling and buying another FD.

that depends on what you want to do. Rebuild, Swap? Yea that can be done in a week or so. The hybrid? That's really up to you, but I can get you the parts.

For those of you who have not previously driven on the dragon. Please take the 7:00 minutes and watch this so you have a better idea of exactly what your getting into.

^ the best statement of that video at 1:31.

Here's a video that will give you the idea of the amount of curves on the dragon.
Its time lapsed so that's why it seems fast paced.

Personally I prefer the Hellbender to the dragon, but you get to drive both either way.

Hey everyone, it has been such a long time that I have been to the forum, that I forgot my old user name. I am out of Charleston, and currently have a little more work to do on my car. Ernst at Rx7world was supposed to have finished it all, but instead he decided to take advantage of me. So needless to say I have some work to do.
This is Landon, and I know some of your names look familiar but I am just trying to get back in the game. Hope everyone is doing well. I am down for getting together at the next meet. I have a pretty big house and yard in West Ashley, I would be more than willing to host.

First of all welcome back. I can't remember if we've met before, but I'm Chris. Local engine builder, parts supplier ect ect. But most importantly I'm an all around cool guy. Let me know what you need done and we will get you running ASAP. Deal's Gap cometh.

Hey guys, thanks for the warm welcome back. My hopes are to get the FD running 100% by the end of year, and then start working on the cosmetics later on. I was told that the engine has low compression, and that the engine needs to be rebuilt. I have yet to run a compression check myself to confirm. I doubt I will be able to make it to DG, but hopefully next year. Chris, where is your shop located in summerville? I work out here, and I would love to come by and talk rotary.

the shop proper if you can call it that is in Jedburg not to far from my house. I'm a startup so it's still small and my co-workers are not very rotary savvy. German cars are a different story though. As far as talking rotary we can do that anytime. Here is my number. 843-478-9898 . Rebuilds are usually done within a week unless you want porting. Then I work slower because that's my signature thing. I've got an awesome extended port that everyone seems to love. I do harnesses, and sell haltech's, ID injectors and some other choice parts. So basically you tell me how fast you want to be and I make suggestions based on that.
